Well it’s been just a wink since [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] arrived. [name_m]Just[/name_m] long enough for me to wonder what the future holds as we look to expand our family.
Who do you think would make a good brother for [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] and why? Other suggestions welcome!
[name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m]…what a wonderful name. Congratulations.
You have a great list. I really like [name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m], [name_m]Lucian[/name_m], [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] and [name_u]Oberon[/name_u]. [name_m]Tybalt[/name_m] I love. I think to “go” with [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] you have to pick a rare first name so [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] would only be middle name contenders. The name would also have to be “weighty” if you know what I mean…like [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m].
Suggestions: [name_m]Achilles[/name_m], [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m], [name_m]Theseus[/name_m]
Out of these choices, I like [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Ferdinand[/name_m], [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], and [name_m]Benedict[/name_m]. I adore [name_m]Linus[/name_m], but think it sounds a bit too…common?..compared to the very out-there [in a good way :)] [name_m]Horatio[/name_m].
By the way, a little off topic, but I see that you call [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] “Tio.” That’s a sweet nickname! I remember you used to have “sometimes [name_u]Rory[/name_u]” written there. Did Tio come more naturally?
I would like to suggest:
[name_m]Aloysius[/name_m]
[name_m]Archibald[/name_m]
[name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m]
[name_m]Beauregard[/name_m]
[name_m]Casimir[/name_m]
[name_m]Demetrius[/name_m]
[name_m]Eleazar[/name_m]
[name_m]Erastus[/name_m]
[name_m]Lazarus[/name_m]
[name_m]Leonardo[/name_m]
[name_m]Leopold[/name_m]
[name_m]Melchior[/name_m]
[name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m]
Yes, [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] is a family name and it’s on our list but DH isn’t particularly fond of it and doesn’t really think it’s the best choice for a first name.
We particularly like [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] from your list.
@[name_f]Alyssa[/name_f], DH thinks the same of [name_m]Linus[/name_m].
And yes, Tio wound up fitting him a bit more than [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. Though we call him [name_m]Horatio[/name_m], it seemed more natural to tell those who wanted a nickname for him to call him Tio.
