Brother for Jocelyn?

I love the name [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Jack[/name_m] or [name_m]Jax[/name_m]) but I’m worried it’s too close to my girl name, [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] (nn [name_u]Joss[/name_u] or Jossy).

What do you think? Are they too similar?

[name_f]TIA[/name_f]!

They arent even pronounced the same…

[name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] - jo-se-lynn

[name_m]Jackson[/name_m] - jak-sen

Weird…

I say [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] like joss-lyn. Theres no joe see lynn.

OP, I can see how they sound similar. I would just avoid [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] in general because of how popular its getting with the [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m] spelling…

I didn’t say they were pronounced the same, but they have some similarities that could make them run together if said together as siblings. I wanted to see if others agreed or if it was just a little nit picky thing of mine. That’s all I meant.

Yeah I agree, it is becoming popular. What do you think of [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] or [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]?

I think they are too similar, unfortunately! What about other -son names (my favorite is [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]!) or another J name such as [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Joel[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] etc?
Oh, and since the precious posters were talking about pronunciation, I find it so interesting that there’s a joss-lyn pronunciation, I never even considered that! [name_u]Love[/name_u] the name though

I never said [name_m]Joe[/name_m]. I said [name_u]Jo[/name_u]. Like juh. Basically I meant [name_m]Jos[/name_m]-se-lyn. You dont have to correct me darlin.

To be op: I agree, in some aspects they look alike. I would just choose [name_m]Jack[/name_m] instead.
