[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Juno[/name_f] are my top two names for girls. I would undoubedly pair [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] with [name_u]Jude[/name_u] if we had a boy too, but what works with [name_f]Juno[/name_f]? There are so few boys’ names that I love, my OH loves, and also work with our surname.
I would use [name_m]Casper[/name_m] or [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] in a heartbeat, and I love them with [name_f]Juno[/name_f], but my OH is not a fan of either. This brings me to [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. It has become my sort of runner up if we ever have two boys, but I’ve never considered it instead of [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. But obviously I can’t have a [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and a [name_u]Jude[/name_u]!
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] work together? I’ve previously baulked at the shared “n”, but I’m thinking that mightn’t be such a problem as the sounds are so different otherwise.
Any other suggestions for a brother for [name_f]Juno[/name_f]? I like first names that are relatively soft and short (one or two syllables, or few letters if more), and with [name_f]Juno[/name_f], a little offbeat.
Could just be me but I would assume [name_u]Wren[/name_u] was a girl. I think [name_u]Ren[/name_u] would be more a masculine spelling for sure. I think they work together.
I really like your style, however, I definitely think of [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as a lovely name—for a girl.
How about:
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Wade[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Hayes[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Milo[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_m]Wells[/name_m]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Wilder[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_m]Nigel[/name_m] Best Wishes to you!
Juno and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] sound great together, but I agree with above posters that [name_u]Wren[/name_u] seems feminine next to [name_f]Juno[/name_f].
I think they work, though I’d assume they’re sisters. Not that [name_u]Wren[/name_u] doesn’t work on a boy, but [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] are stylistically more like sisters IMO.
I love them together but I agree with others my first instinct when I see [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is a girl, sorry! That said I would love to meet a boy [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. But whether he would appreciate it as a name is another consideration.
I loooooove [name_u]Wren[/name_u], but I would assume the child was a girl if I read it on paperwork. I don’t think of [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as unisex, but maybe it is?
I don’t personally love Wren. Jude and Caspar I adore, and Sasha is fantastic too, but Wren just doesn’t appeal to me. Somehow it seems incomplete or less substantial than your other names, but I know this is just a personal thing. If you love it, it could absolutely work with Juno. Other names I love with Juno that fit your guidelines are:
Rex
Jasper
Remy
Hugo
Rafe
Otis
Maxim
Flynn
Miro
Rafa
Kit
Atlas
Otto
Felix
Ambrose
Dash
Bastian
August
Elio
Dane

Theo
Miles
Oscar
Wilbur

Rory
Soren

Van
Xander
Teddy
Silas
Roman

Wren doesn’t seem too feminine to me at all — in fact, I like that you’d have a girl name that plays with convention a bit (with the mostly masculine O ending) plus a boy name that does the same. And the N sounds definitely aren’t too similar.
Maybe [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and…
Cass (if not [name_m]Casper[/name_m], would he like just [name_m]Cas[/name_m]/Cass?)
[name_u]Asa[/name_u]
[name_u]Rex[/name_u]
[name_m]Ives[/name_m]
[name_m]Alban[/name_m]

Firstly [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] & [name_f]Juno[/name_f] are gorgeous!
I like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] I think it’s a sweet nature name BUT I have to agree with @hellobanjo I think [name_u]Ren[/name_u] works better for a boy. For me I would assume [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is female whereas [name_u]Ren[/name_u] is masculine. Also [name_u]Ren[/name_u] still has that nature name connection with the meaning ‘water lily; lotus’ I think it’s cool.
Thanks, I feel the same way. Tbh, I’m not at all concerned about the perceived femininity of [name_u]Wren[/name_u] … it’s one of the reasons why I love it.
I’m glad to see the general consensus is that [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] work well together, that was my main concern. I’m not at all bothered about [name_u]Wren[/name_u] being perceived as feminine, although I don’t really see it as such. I find nature/animal names to be inherently unisex. Thanks everyone for the feedback and suggestions, I really appreciate it.
I think [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is completely unisex and would work really nice with [name_f]Juno[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] first thoughts for a brother would be…
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m]
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_u]Cass[/name_u]
[name_m]Cassian[/name_m]
