[name]Hi[/name] everyone! My 1st son is [name]Levi[/name] [name]Larson[/name]. I’m 28 weeks pregnant – If this 2nd baby is boy, I have no idea. Nothing is standing out to me. My husband is set on [name]Finnegan[/name] (nn [name]Finn[/name]) which I’m coming around to, but want some others for my list.
Something that sounds good with our middle name pick - [name]Vincent[/name] - after my husband’s grandfather.
Something that doesn’t end with -ER because our last name ends with -ER (too bad because I adore the name [name]Wilder[/name]).
Something that’s not too Biblical sounding. I like [name]Asher[/name], but [name]Levi[/name] and [name]Asher[/name] sound way too Old Testament to me.
A name that works on a surfer. Sounds funny, but we live in a beach town and my husband wants a name that sort of fits that.
Here are some examples of names we’re throwing around, but I need some ideas to flesh out this list. Thanks!
[name]Levi[/name] and …
[name]Finnegan[/name] ([name]Finn[/name])
[name]Morrison[/name]
[name]Blaise[/name]
[name]Anders[/name]
[name]Nils[/name]
[name]Wade[/name] (I can’t decide if this is too Country or if it could hint at the water/ocean …)
[name]Cruz[/name] (vetoed)
[name]Nolan[/name]
[name]Blake[/name] (vetoed)
[name]Luke[/name] (can’t use)
[name]Hugo[/name] [name]Vincent[/name]- maybe it’s a little too much but I think it fits. Not sure how much of a surfer name [name]Hugo[/name] is.
[name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Vincent[/name]- not sure if these work too well but [name]Sebastian[/name] is a beachy name in my mind [after thought I realised the [name]Little[/name] Mermaid tie in there]
[name]Finley[/name] [name]Vincent[/name]- I think it’s a little more laid back than [name]Finnegan[/name] and you could still use ‘[name]Finn[/name]’
I really adore your hubby’s choice [name]Finnegan[/name] [name]Vincent[/name].
[name]Finn[/name] definitely sounds like a surfer name.
Other choices I like are
[name]Wade[/name] and [name]Anders[/name].
If your not set on [name]Finnegan[/name] but like [name]Finn[/name] how about:
[name]Finbar[/name] (I knew a boy with this name)
[name]Finlay[/name]
[name]Findlay[/name]
[name]Finnegan[/name] [name]Vincent[/name] is awesome. I like that choice, or:
[name]Finley[/name]/[name]Finlay[/name]
[name]Finnian[/name]
[name]Fintan[/name]
[name]Phineas[/name]
Some other names that might work with [name]Levi[/name] and might sound a bit ‘beachy’:
[name]Bodhi[/name]
[name]Owen[/name]
[name]Bowen[/name]
[name]Corey[/name]
[name]Dashiell[/name]
[name]Dillon[/name]
[name]Flynn[/name]
[name]Anders[/name] or [name]Nils[/name] [name]Vincent[/name] would be very symmetrical with [name]Levi[/name] [name]Larson[/name]. They’d each have one Scandinavian name and one V-name. [name]Nils[/name] is spectacular.
[name]Muir[/name] [name]Vincent[/name] - [name]Muir[/name] means simply “sea.” I love its sound “myoo-er.” And [name]Muir[/name] Woods is a magical place.
[name]Oceanus[/name] [name]Vincent[/name] - [name]Oceanus[/name] is one of those far-out names that came over on the Mayflower. So it relates to [name]Levi[/name]'s old Biblical thing, but not in a religious way.
[name]Merlin[/name] [name]Vincent[/name] - [name]Merlin[/name] is “sea fortress” and its connection to Arthurian legend is awesome. I love [name]Merlin[/name] for a surfer. “Cowabunga [name]Merlin[/name]!”
[name]Irving[/name] [name]Vincent[/name] - Two Vs, two Is. [name]Irving[/name] and [name]Levi[/name], a pair of sassy old Jewish guy names. [name]Irving[/name] “green water”
Oh, sorry if my post wasn’t clear! [name]Larson[/name] is my first son’s middle name ([name]Levi[/name] [name]Larson[/name]). I was just giving his full name as an example of our “style”.
I’m looking for a name for my second baby, who if a boy, will have the middle name [name]Vincent[/name]. Not [name]Larson[/name]. So what do you think of [name]Finnegan[/name] [name]VINCENT[/name]?
I actually like the rhyminess of [name]Levi[/name] [name]Larson[/name] and [name]Finn[/name] [name]Vincent[/name] – they go together beautifully! That would be my pick.
I love the sound of [name]Nolan[/name] and [name]Levi[/name] .[name]Peter[/name] and [name]Cooper[/name] seem a little beachy to me. Plus their endings have a bit of a different feel to them. Also it may be way too beachy for you but what about [name]Todd[/name]? [name]Just[/name] a thought and congrats on the new baby:)
[name]Levi[/name] and [name]Milo[/name]
[name]Levi[/name] and [name]Bede[/name]
[name]Levi[/name] and [name]Clark[/name]
[name]Levi[/name] and [name]Reid[/name]
[name]Levi[/name] and [name]Owen[/name]
[name]Levi[/name] and [name]Noel[/name]
