Brother for Nolan - due in a week!

My husband and I are having the hardest time agreeing on a name for our little boy who could come any day now. Big brother is [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] (last name is a single syllable starting with S). [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] are maiden names (mine and my MIL) so we would like to use one of those as a middle. Thoughts on these? We live in [name_u]Southern[/name_u] [name_u]California[/name_u].

Elliott, [name_u]Asher[/name_u] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] are the standouts for me. Especially [name_u]Asher[/name_u]. I just love the sound of [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] and [name_u]Asher[/name_u] together! I would use [name_m]Graham[/name_m] as the middle seeing as you’ve already used [name_u]Cooper[/name_u].

My personal favourites are…

Nash – but that might be a bit matchy with the initials, especially if you use the middle name [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] again. Have you considered [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m]?

Asher – love this, similar to [name_m]Nash[/name_m] but without the initials issue, plus it sounds great with [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and has a wonderful meaning.

Isaac – a cool classic, another great meaning.

Anders – such a handsome and surprising name, strong, cool and interesting.

Julian – I really love this, it feels like a strong and sensitive international classic, but there are quite a lot of repeated sounds with [name_u]Nolan[/name_u].

So my top 3 would be [name_u]Asher[/name_u], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_m]Anders[/name_m] for you!

I really love [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and [name_u]Asher[/name_u] with [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]! And if you have already used [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] with your first then I think [name_m]Graham[/name_m] should definitely be the middle name. Congrats!

I think [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Graham[/name_m], and [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] all work really well with [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] and flow nicely!

Not a fan of [name_m]Nash[/name_m] because I always view it as a dog name.

I love [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]! It’s one of my favorites.

Here are my thoughts for his little brother:

Elliott [name_m]Graham[/name_m]-I really like [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]. It’s charming, friendly, smart, simple but not terribly over done. It goes well w/Nolan.

Nash [name_u]Cooper[/name_u]-[name_m]Nash[/name_m] is not my cup of tea. I just don’t love the sound, which is weird, because I like [name_u]Dash[/name_u], [name_m]Cash[/name_m], [name_u]Ash[/name_u] & Bash a lot. Plus I think that unless [name_m]Nash[/name_m] is your absolute stand out favorite, it’s good to use different initials for both kids. And I don’t personally care for the idea of using the same mn.

Asher [name_m]Graham[/name_m]-Oh, see I like this. [name_u]Asher[/name_u] has a cool rugged guy vibe, but it’s also gentle & artsy too.

Isaac [name_m]Graham[/name_m]-This is nice. It’s not my personal favorite, but it’s a good solid name.

Everett [name_m]Graham[/name_m]-This is handsome. I think it’s a little bit popular, so seems a little less special.

Andrew [name_m]Graham[/name_m]-This is popular too, but more classic so it doesn’t bother me as much. I don’t care for [name_u]Drew[/name_u] though. It reminds me of a frat boy.

Anderson/Anders [name_m]Graham[/name_m]-This is more interesting than [name_m]Andrew[/name_m], but seems too last name-y.

Julian [name_m]Graham[/name_m]-I love love love [name_u]Julian[/name_u]. It’s just so handsome & charming.

Wyatt [name_m]Graham[/name_m]-This is good. I don’t love it, but it’s kind of fun & cowboy-ish.
