Brother for Rayan and Kiran

[name_u]Baby[/name_u] #3 is on the way, gender unknown at this point. We’ve had a girl name picked out forever, but always struggle with boy names. Our boys both have [name_f]Indian[/name_f] names, but my husband has felt some regret recently about not going with more American names. Though, we went with simple, easy names that are not difficult for the average American to pronounce. So I’ve been trying to put together a list of simple [name_f]Indian[/name_f] names or names that at least have a similar feel to our boys’ names. Both boys have a 2-syllable -an name, so while I’m not 100% set on sticking with that, I am exploring names that fit that criteria.

Big brothers are [name_m]Rayan[/name_m] and [name_m]Kiran[/name_m].

These are currently on the top of my list:
[name_m]Bastian[/name_m] (Currently my #1. I had [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] on my list for both previous boys and hubby vetoed it. I like that this is 2-syllable -an, the way we would pronounce it, and that at least this 1 kid would have a name that gives a nod to my [name_m]German[/name_m] ancestry. Actually, one of the first ancestors to move to the US on my [name_m]German[/name_m] side was named [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m].)
[name_u]Orion[/name_u] (This would be my #1, but sadly, I think it’s too similar to [name_m]Rayan[/name_m])
[name_m]Elian[/name_m]
[name_f]Falan[/name_f]
Lochan ([name_f]Indian[/name_f] name that’s supposed to be pronounced LOW-chin, but I would want it to be [name_m]LOCK[/name_m]-n, so maybe needs a different spelling?)
[name_u]Dorian[/name_u]
[name_m]Torin[/name_m]
[name_u]Mars[/name_u]

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like any of these names to complete the sibset?
Thanks for your feedback!!

From your list [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] & [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] are my favorite.

I think your boys names are wonderful, heritage honoring names are always a favorite. Not to mention indian boys names have such great meanings

Or maybe [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] as a first with [name_f]Indian[/name_f] middle name

First thing that came to mind was [name_m]Naveen[/name_m], [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m], or [name_m]Zayn[/name_m]

Other ideas

[name_m]Rayan[/name_m], [name_m]Kiran[/name_m], & _______:

Kunal
[name_m]Kamal[/name_m]
[name_m]Hari[/name_m]
Aamir
[name_m]Rahul[/name_m]
[name_m]Ravi[/name_m]
[name_m]Samir[/name_m] “[name_u]Sam[/name_u]”
Aseem “[name_u]Asa[/name_u]”
[name_m]Siddharth[/name_m] “[name_m]Sid[/name_m]”
[name_m]Dax[/name_m]
[name_u]Avi[/name_u]
Eshan
[name_m]Dev[/name_m]

I would suggest choosing a name with a different ending other than ‘an’ sound so they are of the same style but aren’t too matchy. I’m not very familiar with [name_f]Indian[/name_f] names but [name_u]Samar[/name_u] or [name_u]Ari[/name_u]? [name_u]Samar[/name_u] could end up with the nickname [name_u]Sam[/name_u] which fits well with a [name_u]North[/name_u] American commonly used name, [name_m]Samuel[/name_m].

[name_m]Bastian[/name_m]’s my favourite for the sibset, [name_m]Elian[/name_m]’s my favourite overall. Also, I read Lochan the way you want to pronounce it.

[name_m]Bastian[/name_m]! It’s also my number 1 boys’ name and I think it suits the sibset despite being from a different culture.
