So we are hoping to have a little brother or sister for our son [name_u]Toby[/name_u] soon, and are starting to think about names.

[name_m]Ronan[/name_m] (love the meaning of little seal, especially as I’ve just finished my biology degree and once the kids are older I’m hoping to become a zoo keeper, so I absolutely love animals! Also our family has has a bit of a joke of calling seals pointy rocks as that’s what mum thought they were when first driving passed some haha so there’s the potential nn of [name_m]Rocky[/name_m]/[name_m]Rocky[/name_m] [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] which I think is super cute!)
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] (love the nature feeling of it, and as my maiden name is [name_m]Birch[/name_m], I quite like the tree connection)
[name_u]Remi[/name_u] (long-time love of mine, but I definitely like it more than hubby does)

[name_m]Harry[/name_m] (I’m ever so lightly obsessed with [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] haha, but I feel this name isn’t completely associated with the books unlike [name_m]Albus[/name_m] and [name_f]Hermione[/name_f])
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] (hubby likes this much more than I do, I love the nn [name_m]Archie[/name_m], but worry that this full version is a bit trendy)
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] - possible nn [name_m]Artie[/name_m], [name_m]Bear[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] (love that it’s the name of a sea, giving it a naturey feel, but can’t think of a good nn, we’re not fond of [name_m]Cash[/name_m]/[name_m]Cas[/name_m])
Oaken (more of a guilty pleasure name than anything, but thought I’d put it on here anyway!)
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] - possible nn [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], [name_m]Eddie[/name_m], [name_m]Woody[/name_m]

Me personally, I don’t like the name [name_u]Toby[/name_u] unless it’s used as a NN for [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]. I’m sure your little [name_u]Toby[/name_u] is a joy. Anyway, I think personally that [name_m]Harry[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_m]Felix[/name_m], and [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]. For a girl, I suggest [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] or [name_f]Thea[/name_f] but if you don’t want to match the T you can go for [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f], [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] in my opinion. From that list my top three favorites with [name_u]Toby[/name_u] in order are [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] and [name_u]Toby[/name_u] sound like brothers; also, Cub is an adorable nickname and ties in with your love of animals. [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is a strong, handsome name and has the same feeling as [name_u]Toby[/name_u]. Nickname potential there is fabulous, with [name_m]Artie[/name_m] and [name_m]Bear[/name_m] as you mentioned; [name_m]Artie[/name_m] and [name_u]Toby[/name_u] together are precious and [name_m]Bear[/name_m] ties into the animal theme. Lastly, I love your reasons for considering [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]! It’s a handsome name on its own but has a lot of meaning for your family and that is lovely; however, I’m not sure it works as well with [name_u]Toby[/name_u] as [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] or [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] do.

Unfortunately here in [name_m]New[/name_m] Zealand [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is a VERY popular chocolate drink, and [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is my brothers name! And [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is one of [name_u]Toby[/name_u]'s middle names, and a little too popular for me to use as a first name (it’s at number 1 here in NZ). But will definitely be considering [name_m]Ewan[/name_m]!
