Definely: [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]
Maybe: [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_u]Julian[/name_u], [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
No: [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_m]Jason[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_u]Oliver[/name_u], Michael and Miles (I hear it now)

My favourites in general as [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], and [name_m]Leo[/name_m].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites with [name_u]Michael[/name_u] are [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u], and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m].
The only one I’d avoid using with [name_u]Michael[/name_u] is [name_u]Miles[/name_u] because the beginnings are too similar.

Thomas [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] or [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] I think

I really like [name_u]Julian[/name_u], [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] for you. [name_u]Miles[/name_u] is the only one I’d say is a no go as it’s so close to [name_u]Michael[/name_u] in sound

@Greyblue hi you know it’s re the same naming as the Outgoing and Popular and Smart thread right? Because there, you chose [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m], and now I’m trying to narrow it down!

Hi there.

Here are my thoughts on the list:

Benjamin-This is a beautiful name. [name_u]Strong[/name_u], classic, masculine but not overly macho. Very nice w/Michael. Popular, but I’m guessing that that doesn’t bother you too much.

Carter-This is fine. It’s not my personal favorite. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a little bit modern sounding, I guess. I don’t think that it doesn’t go w/Michael. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not as classic feeling as some of the others.

Jack-I love this one. It’s so dashing & sharp & classic & handsome. Very nice w/Michael.

James-This also works perfectly. Simple, classic, handsome, masculine but not harsh. Great choice.

Jason-This actually does fit really well. It just feels really 80s though. Not my cup of tea, but not an awful name.

Julian-Totally my favorite from this list. Such a charming name. Perfect w/Michael too.

Leo-I like this. It feels a little fresher. Short, spunky, fresh…but still vintage at the same time. Boyish but sweet.

Matthew-I love this name. It has a very pleasant sound. I think that it fits w/Michael as long as you don’t mind repeating initials.

Miles-I’m not big on this for some reason, & it’s too close to [name_u]Michael[/name_u] in my opinion.

Oliver-Super cute. Handsome, old fashioned & a little quirky. It doesn’t not fit w/Michael.

Sebastian-I really like it. Handsome & a bit exotic. Maybe a bit too exotic next to [name_u]Michael[/name_u], but it could work.

Thomas-This seems like a perfect match. [name_u]Strong[/name_u], handsome simple classic.

Hope this helps.

Personally I like long abs strong classics with [name_u]Michael[/name_u] . I don’t love really super popular names . I love alliteration

No: [name_u]Carter[/name_u] , [name_m]Jack[/name_m] , [name_m]Jason[/name_m] (dated or trendy)

Maybe : [name_u]Miles[/name_u] , [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] , [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] (lovely but too popular for me)

Keep : [name_u]Julian[/name_u] , [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] , [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m],

Thank you, everyone! I teach Chinese children [name_f]English[/name_f]. I also began helping them name their younger siblings who don’t yet have an [name_f]English[/name_f] name. (I know, a name lover’s dream come true!)

Last week, [name_u]Michael[/name_u] gave me the image characteristics criteria (which I ask of all of them), and tonight we met for our lesson and also so that I could present some names to him. I chose five from my list (before I read the last three suggestions):
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]
[name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Matthew[/name_m]

He will now present them to his father and let his father choose the name for [name_u]Michael[/name_u]’s brother. If I get an update, I will post it here. Thank you all; you helped so much!

Michael & [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] or [name_u]Michael[/name_u] & [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] would be cute
