Your styles don’t seem too far apart to me – it appears you both like ‘d’ sounds (Donovan, [name_m]Desmond[/name_m], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], Theodore)! Both lists work really well; the only one I’d instinctively nix is [name_m]Silas[/name_m], as I think it’s probably too close to [name_u]Miles[/name_u].

[name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is a strong contender. [name_f]My[/name_f] initials are JT and several of my friend call me JT so I like that connection.
I agree with [name_m]Silas[/name_m] being too similar to [name_u]Miles[/name_u], but it could make a great middle potentially. I love [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] as well, but do you want to possibly start a same initial theme? I knew brothers named [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and [name_u]Miles[/name_u], so I can definitely see that one working. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the suggestion of [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]. Show [name_u]Miles[/name_u] The Lego Movie and he’ll probably be a fan of [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] too. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is pretty great with [name_u]Miles[/name_u]. I like that they’re both one syllable. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] would give your wife her favorite names and give him the same initials as dad which is pretty special. I have my dad’s initials and I’ve always loved the connection. It’s a great way to honor someone while still giving the kid their own individual name.

The problem I have with [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is that we have friends who have a son named [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. Also, and I am showing my age here, I always think of [name_m]Rude[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] who would come on the [name_f]Jenny[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m] show and roast the guests.
Miles and Malcolm are definitely different enough. Some people just don’t like repeating initials and feeling obligated to continue the theme should a third child come along which is why I was pointing it out. But I do think Miles and Malcolm are a great brother set.
How about Jesse Theodore for the JT initials? I’m not familiar with the character you’re referencing, but I can definitely understand not wanting to use the same name as your friends’ child. Miles and Jesse sound like two little cowboys.

I’d keep [name_u]Owen[/name_u] at least as a middle, it’s so nice to give the big brother a say! (My 5 years old offered [name_f]Tulip[/name_f], [name_f]Rainbow[/name_f], Vassila and Snow-White so far so we’re in the same boat - and no, we don’t know the gender yet)

And my favourite-by-far sibling name from your list is [name_u]Julian[/name_u], which I think goes perfectly with [name_u]Miles[/name_u]! They somehow have a similar quality to them: classy & likeable.

I had another thought, [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u]! It is Miles’ initials backwards, and I think it could be such a cute sibset!
I love [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] and have had that name on my list for a while. We haven’t talked about it in a while because we weren’t stoked about the inevitable [name_u]Max[/name_u] nn. Making it a middle name solves that. [name_f]My[/name_f] wife isn’t too keen on [name_u]Owen[/name_u] for some reason but I do love the way [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] sounds.
