Which do you prefer?
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
I prefer [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] to [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], but as a combo I like [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] better.
I like them both, but I am not fond of [name_u]Ashley[/name_u].
Have you considered [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]?
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] Seems to have more substance to me…[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] seems more blah.
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] is all boy to me. I see [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] as a boy’s name too.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] would be my choice.
They both sound very suburban '80’s…maybe it’s the Br- combo that hits a particularly sour note for me. Got any other picks?
Have you considered [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] as opposed to [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]?
I think both are fine, but it really depends on the sibset you’re envisioning. For [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], the siblings should have classic-but-not-lackluster names, like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_u]Evan[/name_u]. For [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], I can picture siblings [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u]–unisex, but the middle name would push it one way or the other.
If she’d be an only child (or you’re not trying to make a sibset), I’m leaning slightly more towards [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], and a little bit more with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] pick is [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]. [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] flows well whereas the combo [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] sounds like one long name (Brynnashley).
I love the suggestion of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]…[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] would be very cute!
I do like [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] but not with [name_u]Ashley[/name_u].
I agree with [name_u]Mischa[/name_u]. (Sorry for always quoting you dear, you just explain things much better than I do ;))
Eh, both names are way overused and too trendy for me. Especially [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], I currently go to school with 5 my age, plus my cousin, plus one from high school, plus one of my past baby sitters, plus an 8 year old I know, plus about 4 in my yearbook…yeah.
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] feels very uppity to me. Almost like [name_u]Blair[/name_u], [name_f]Danielle[/name_f], [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u], [name_u]Courtney[/name_u], etc, the perfect cheerleader type. Or a snob from an upperclass bording school. Regardless, not a nice image.
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] feels very masculine thanks to the rapper [name_m]Drake[/name_m] (his birth name is [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]). It just feels eh to me. A unisex name that shouldnt have become unisex almost.
Perhaps [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]? Maybe choosing no unisex names would be the best route. As a previous poster pointed out, [name_u]Bryn[/name_u], [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], & [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] all are.
