Which do you prefer: [name_m]Buddy[/name_m], [name_m]Trip[/name_m], or [name_u]Wiley[/name_u]? These are full first names—not nicknames.

Hmmm I’m honestly not sure on any of them as an actual name but my vote went to [name_m]Buddy[/name_m]. I could see nn [name_m]Bud[/name_m] with it. Also to me [name_m]Trip[/name_m] seems like an insult and [name_u]Wiley[/name_u] makes me think of the coyote.

I see these all as nn, with the exception of [name_u]Wiley[/name_u].

A friend of the family is nn [name_m]Bud[/name_m], fn is [name_m]William[/name_m].
I dont know how he got the nn, but I guess its similar to the more popular shortened nn of [name_m]Will[/name_m]/Bill.

Trip could be a nn to [name_m]Truett[/name_m] [name_m]Preston[/name_m] or [name_m]Trent[/name_m] [name_m]Phillip[/name_m], etc?

Wow [name_u]Wiley[/name_u]??? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

My favourite is [name_m]Buddy[/name_m] which is actually popular amongst upper classes in my area (just outside [name_u]London[/name_u]) a lot of British celebrities have used [name_m]Buddy[/name_m] so I think it’s workable and I like it.
