Cabbage Patch Kids

I only had one and her name was [name]Jodi[/name] something, I don’t remember the middle. My mom thought it was very fitting because one of the names they considered for me was [name]Jodi[/name]!

My mom only remembers one of our originals- [name]Arlette[/name] [name]Ernestine[/name]! I still have her in a box somewhere, she and [name]Hortense[/name] [name]Rosella[/name] will be great friends. What a sibset!

I had two of them. A boy named [name]Vaughn[/name] [name]Sidney[/name] (who’s name I changed to [name]Tommy[/name] [name]Lee[/name] since I was dead set on this name. I remember Mother asking me “[name]How[/name] about [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Lee[/name]…” I wouldn’t budge.)… and a girl named [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Elinor[/name]. I kept her name since I had a childhood friend named [name]Daphne[/name] and a mother named, [name]Eleanor[/name].

I still have my 1st CPK and her name was [name]Lanette[/name] [name]Arlana[/name]… I just called her [name]Lanna[/name], so my mom changed it around to [name]Lanna[/name] [name]Lanette[/name] =)

I had several but I only remember the name of my first -[name]Adelaide[/name] ( can’t recall the middle). I never even thought of renaming them.

My daughter had a [name]Gary[/name] [name]Carter[/name] Mets Cabbage Patch doll in [name]Gary[/name] [name]Carter[/name]'s uniform. She used to drag that doll around everywhere, but she wasn’t really into Cabbage Patch dolls. She loved the Ninja Turtles and My [name]Little[/name] Ponys, especially the Flutterby Ponys.

I inherited some Cabbage Patch Kids from my older cousin…Idk what their names were when they were bought. I got them when I was 7 and named them [name]Jack[/name], [name]Julia[/name], and [name]Vivian[/name].

My sister and I had fraternal twins, dolls [name]Wendy[/name] and [name]Erwin[/name]. I also had one named [name]Leilani[/name]

So funny! These dolls definitely started my interest in names. I never kept the names they came with; always changed them and wrote the new names on the “adoption” papers that came with the doll.

I’m not remembering the names I chose, but I think I named one of them Abbica (my own weird mash-up of [name]Abby[/name] and [name]Jessica[/name]!).

My doll was named [name]Faith[/name] which my mom went crazy for. I was neutral on the subject.

I can’t remember the name mine came with but I called her [name]Noele[/name] [name]Marie[/name], so not me now.

I don’t remember the MN, but her FN was [name]Faith[/name]… which was awful for me as a child because I pronounced if Fake!

I had three- [name]Bessie[/name] [name]Leslie[/name], [name]Kimberly[/name] [name]Ashley[/name], and [name]Melody[/name] [name]Suzanne[/name]. I hated [name]Bessie[/name] [name]Leslie[/name] but never changed her name, and I liked [name]Kimberly[/name] [name]Ashley[/name] and [name]Melody[/name] [name]Suzanne[/name].

I had only one, she was named [name]Nelly[/name], I don’t remember her middle name.

[name]Georgina[/name] [name]Kelly[/name]!

[name]Erma[/name] [name]Antonia[/name]
[name]Wendy[/name] [name]Athena[/name]
[name]Claudine[/name] [name]Suzy[/name]

My brother had one called [name]Bertram[/name] [name]Harley[/name]

I can’t believe I remember them! [name]How[/name] weird.

My step daughter has 2 now called [name]Ivey[/name] [name]Jazmyn[/name] & [name]Dottie[/name] Sarabeth

Mine was [name]Eileen[/name] [name]Noreen[/name] ( a baby one because I was a baby), my oldest sisters was [name]Trixie[/name] [name]Edna[/name](had glasses like her) and my other sisters was Cowboy [name]Jason[/name] (dressed like a cowboy!)

Funny thing is my oldest sister always loved the name of my other sisters doll [name]Jason[/name], and that is what my nephews name is!

I remember looking at all the names of the Cabbage Patch kids at the toy store and thinking it’d be such a cool job to be the person who picked their names. Mine was a boy named Diggory and I’ve recently started to consider how that name would sound on a real kid…

I got [name]Dorothea[/name] [name]Sharla[/name], Joanelle [name]Georgette[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] (can’t remember the middle) … can’t say I liked any of them!
