[name_f]Marciana[/name_f] [name_f]Raquel[/name_f] [Diaz] [name_m]Ridger[/name_m] (54) is Alyssa’s mother, who also has another child. She and her husband are both POC and their children are biracial, so keeping them strong with their identities is important to her. She’s also motherly in a lot of ways, constantly telling her kids bedtime stories when they were young. She’s always aspired to be an author and spends her free time in the library. [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] currently works as a literary agent and helps others get published and follow the dreams she has. She naturally hopes [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] gets her dream of getting promoted, since she’s a great employee at the animal shelter. [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] is a quick thinker and while she can be corny, she genuinely wants people to succeed and will help them do so. Her children tell her how much she used to turn conversations about homework when they hadn’t done it. “I love getting gifts for Fleur.” “I love the gift of your homework done.” “That movie was great.” “I hope your homework is done great.” “At least [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_m]Lawrence[/name_m] is a wonderful actress.” “Probably because she did all her homework in school.” They always found it cringey how [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] would work homework into conversations but at least they would do it. Marciana’s husband on the other hand didn’t even try to make it relevant, such as when [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] claimed, “Blue is my new fave colour. I see it a lot but I love seeing its role in nature,” and Mr. [name_m]Ridger[/name_m] just replied, “How’s your homework?”

[name_f]Marciana[/name_f] and her husband are both good parents and have a lot of fun stories to share about their lives. They like looking back and knowing the stories they found the cheesiest also end up being the ones they laugh the most with their kids. [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] has a few friends with the other parents of her children’s friends, though she also has a few child-free friends as well. She sometimes acts as “the mother role of the friend group” though she’s not the eldest friend. She doesn’t act too bossy, mainly since she’s not even the friend she believes is the most responsible. Many would say [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] is, but [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] knows it’s really [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] and Rip’s mother, especially given how she sacrificed her own piloting dreams, nearly forever, and it was a huge moment in the group when she ended up pursuing them after all. [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] loves how [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] and [name_m]Rip[/name_m] also shared in the joy their mother had, and knows that their mother definitely raised them well. She’s glad [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] are still really great friends. Especially given the awkwardness of [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] being friends with the mother of her other child’s former friend, before the two had a falling out. [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] doesn’t even know herself whether she wants the friendship to rekindle, as the former friend is often very quiet and hard to tell the integrity of the friendship. [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] is a very true friend herself, which is why very little could break up her friendships with great people. [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] seems to have inherited this friendly streak from her, and [name_f]Marciana[/name_f] also enjoys seeing what greatness [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] brings to their bond as well.
