Ayün Sohyeon Becerra (2) is Eluney’s goddaughter, who absolutely adores her, not that it’s a surprise to anyone, least of all her parents. The [name_m]Nahuel[/name_m] and Becerra families have been acquainted over 10 years, after Ayüns’ grandparents decided to move to access a new job offered to her nana, and the closeness between [name_f]Eluney[/name_f] and Ayüns’ dad led to some speculating romance - although nothing emerged, and really this close bond stemmed from their mutual pride in heritage and encouragement of one another to express this.
It was at a college BIPOC Society that Ayüns’ parents met. Her mom’s Korean-American, and likewise proud in expressing her cultural heritage, with there being clear plans for Ayün to be raised with involvement in both Mapuche and Korean culture. Ayüns’ dad attributes the toddlers boldness to his partner: she’s always trying to explore the world and loves meeting new people - although she’s at her most joyous with those she knows well, case in point being [name_f]Eluney[/name_f].
When she isn’t trying to explore the garden or asking questions about getting pets - her requests for a fox, a seal and a leopard have been met with a gentle ‘no’ - Ayün loves being read to, most of all when it comes to the natural world. She’s very protective and caring towards her stuffed animals, hoping that maybe a cat or dog could be on the cards in the future…
