Having met through the animal shelter, where [name_u]Maxi[/name_u] works as a behavioural trainer with mostly the canines. A quieter person than [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_u]Maxi[/name_u] quickly appreciates her bombastic attitude and approach where life’s concerned, while acting as something of a calming influence on her, and helping her boss recognise that this wasn’t a frivolous pursuit for [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. Romance blossomed between them given how much time they spent together at work, then hiking together, as [name_u]Maxi[/name_u] likewise loves the outdoors, being more into climbing and camping himself.

The main source of uncertainty between he and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is the fact that [name_u]Maxi[/name_u] has a 5-year-old son with his ex-girlfriend, and the two’s feelings for one another never died down, even after they split up when their son was 8 months old. Living together placed a lot of stress on the couple - especially as it took his childs’ mother more time to go back to work as she had a difficult labour - and they split, but since then, they’re always drawn back together. She’s the person who knows the ins and outs of Maxis’ life better than anyone, a sentiment which he returned. Still, it doesn’t undo his guilt given how truly he’s come to love Emma…

He’s only seen [name_f]Emma[/name_f] a few times and hasn’t really gotten that his father’s in a torn situation. He’s a really sweet boy and his parents remember when he was born, although Maxi’s experience is much different from his former girlfriend’s in the matter given her struggles in labour. Reeve’s mother lives in a small town like [name_f]Emma[/name_f], but the town his mother is in happens to be closer to the country’s capital of Canberra. [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] doesn’t really understand how cities work and sometimes imagines he’s a prince of a little town – and by little town, it’s not even that, just the backyard.

When he’s with [name_u]Maxi[/name_u], [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] loves bedtime stories and loves campfire stories even more. [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] loves tomatoes and peas, something the fellow kids hate to eat sometimes but he enjoys them a lot, especially fresh-picked. He’s a kid who enjoys the sun and outdoors and he loves carnival rides – especially carousels and bumper cars. He likes to learn about all the different dog breeds thanks to his father. While some kids have puppy-love crushes on other kids, [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] just hasn’t found that interest. [name_m]Ah[/name_m], the spirit of a child, one who doesn’t know the intensity of romance…

[name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] " [name_u]Zan[/name_u] " [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_m]Myers[/name_m] (25) is Reeves’ mum and the other woman in Maxis’ life. The situation with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is something [name_u]Zan[/name_u] finds tiresome in senses, but more from the perspective she just wants [name_u]Maxi[/name_u] to choose. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if Emma’s ultimately the better fit for him, it won’t ruin her, although in truth she acknowledges she deeply cares for [name_u]Maxi[/name_u], primarily because of how he is with their son. [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] means everything to [name_u]Zan[/name_u], and she’ll bend over backwards if it means he’s happy, so the fact her on-off partner is a dedicated father means the most to her. She works as PA for the deputy editor of a local magazine, not having the most well-known public profile but it doesn’t matter in the slightest to [name_u]Zan[/name_u], who paused her degree in journalism to take a year of absence while recovering from giving birth to [name_u]Reeve[/name_u].

Labour was very complex for [name_u]Zan[/name_u]. She bled a lot more than is typical and almost fractured her pelvis thanks to her slender figure, something that absolutely terrified [name_u]Maxi[/name_u] in the moment, as he feared he’d loose her. What upset [name_u]Zan[/name_u] more was the time she lost with her son due to needing to recover before they were introduced once again. She contemplated sneaking out of her room to see him, and was only deterred when she realised how exhausted she was, meaning more delays would come after pressuring herself to dash about. [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] quickly became cherished by [name_u]Zan[/name_u], a little ironic, as she was nervous about not bonding with him: mostly because of her lack of maternal inclinations prior to his arrival.

A lot of Zan’s resilience - and in turn, her no nonsense personality - comes from her absentee parents. They were much more focused on their social lives than spending time with their daughters’ which was never easy, especially as [name_u]Zan[/name_u] became parentified in a sense when her sister was still very young; although she’s never resented her only sibling for this, and they’ve maintained a strong bond, compensating for their lacklustre parents with one another’s company and care. Since [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] was born, there hasn’t been much reconciliation between them, but in truth she’s pleased, as she doesn’t want him being disappointed as she was. Ultimately, [name_u]Zan[/name_u] knows if anyone’s going to put an end to things, it’ll probably be her, however there’s a warmth and understanding she’s got with [name_u]Maxi[/name_u] that prevails still.

The magazine’s topics are many and sundry. From recipes to DIY house projects, from gardening to local news, the magazine covers just about everything. [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] has looked over some things [name_u]Zan[/name_u] has written and encourages her to continue her journalism degree. He often says he’ll lose his best PA if she decides to finish her degree. [name_u]Jere[/name_u] and [name_u]Zan[/name_u] have developed a mentor/mentee relationship, as [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] often critiques her writings and gives advice. Some in the office have insinuated that their relationship is more than professional, a rumor that [name_u]Jere[/name_u] despises. He’s madly in love with his wife, thank you very much.

[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] and [name_u]Zan[/name_u] do share a connection that may make them in-laws in the future. His younger brother and Zan’s younger sister have been dating for a few months. [name_u]Jere[/name_u] is happy for them and hopes it lasts. He and his wife have three delightful children who are all in school. Despite his busy work life, he always does his best to make time for his children. Last week he missed his daughter’s ballet recital due to mixed-up dates and has felt bad about it ever since. He got tickets to see her favorite basketball team as an apology and is prepared for hours of a game he knows almost nothing about.

He tends to share Zan’s sister’s line of thinking; they both feel that [name_u]Maxi[/name_u] is being unfair to both women. [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] doesn’t want to get involved in this situation since it has nothing to do with him but hopes it resolves as nicely as possible. Zan’s son [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] and Jeremiah’s youngest son attend the same kindergarten and have become fast friends. [name_u]Jere[/name_u] jokes that he’ll never be rid of [name_u]Zan[/name_u] at this point and she always teases him right back in her no-nonsense way.

[name_f]Aretha[/name_f] has always admired her older sister. She has always looked up to her the way many younger sisters do, but admired her even more for the part she had in raising her into the woman she is today. [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] knows it couldn’t have been easy on [name_u]Zan[/name_u] to act as parent for her younger sister, but she did it so well and never made [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] feel like she was a problem. [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] knew long before Reeve’s arrival that [name_u]Zan[/name_u] would be a great mother because she acted as an incredible one for her. She was so excited when she heard the news that [name_u]Zan[/name_u] was pregnant and she was going to become an Auntie. Auntie H loves her nephew. She has no hard feelings toward [name_u]Maxi[/name_u], but wishes he would treat her sister better. She knows he is a nice guy but dragging her along is not fair to her or [name_f]Emma[/name_f].

[name_f]Aretha[/name_f] met her boyfriend, Jere’s brother, via a dating app. She is usually largely against them because of all the horror stories she has heard, but she couldn’t help but give it a shot. Her & Jere’s brother talked for almost a month before they officially met up in person for their first date, partially being overly cautious after meeting on the internet and partially do to being long distance for the first half of their relationship due to Jere’s brother attending college at of state. They talked everyday from early morning to late night and face timed quite often. Their first date was at a concert for their favorite band, something they bonded over initially. Jere’s brother has since transferred universities to somewhere nearby to be closer to [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] & his brother. [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] knows that they have not been together very long, but she has a good feeling about her current partner and thinks they might have a long & bright future together.

[name_f]Aretha[/name_f] works at a paint your own pottery shop. She enjoys being able to express her creativity and love of art (she often paints pieces when she has a break & displays them around the store), as well as being able to watch others find their creative side.

[name_f]Aretha[/name_f] doesn’t live with her boyfriend currently. Instead she lives with her high school best friend, a girl she met in knitting club as the only other member. Along with sharing an apartment, they also share a pet cat named [name_f]Gladys[/name_f].

[name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] " [name_f]Lala[/name_f] " [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_u]Faraday[/name_u] (3) is Hallie’s ‘future niece’ - as [name_u]Jere[/name_u] affectionately refers to things given the wedding plans - but in every way that matters, that relationship is already there. As the youngest of her parents three children, Lala’s currently caught between appreciating the protectiveness she receives while wanting to be given more freedoms, especially by her brother. He’s the only boy of the trio, as well as the firstborn, and his love of martial arts is something Lala’s endlessly intrigued by…although he keeps insisting she’s way too little to copy his moves, much to many frowns and pouts from the toddler.

Aside from being fascinated by her older siblings passions, Lala’s personal interest is art. She’s always drawing with something - pencils, pens, chalk - and her favourite subjsct matter right now are angels. Her nana [maternal grandmother] got her an angel number necklace to be worn when she’s a little older, and it absolutely captivates [name_f]Lala[/name_f] every time she sees it. Jewellery in general has become more of a point of interest for her, primarily because her mom can metalwork, so Lala’s seen materials about the house, including a pair of silver angel wings she coverts without subtlety. Of course, her parents joke about when she becomes more aware of devil’s, insisting she’s got enough of a flourishing mischievous streak as it is.

She’s very close to her dad and was disappointed when he missed her ballet recital. Her mom recorded the recital so he could watch it later, and the basketball game tickets were an excellent apology. [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] isn’t as protective of [name_f]Lala[/name_f] as their brother is, but she loves her little sister dearly. She likes having red hair like her mom — and being the only child who does. [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] enjoys bright colors, especially red and blue. She’s had her glasses for two years and doesn’t plan on ever getting boring colors.

[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] doesn’t mind going to school but isn’t thrilled about it, either. She likes hanging out with her friends, though, even if one of them has a little crush on her brother now. [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] promised not to tell anyone but did spill the beans to her mom after she asked. She is an awful liar, especially when it comes to her parents. [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] isn’t sure if her brother knows; if he does, he doesn’t show it. Aside from that little bit of drama, [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is doing well. She’s recently become very close to her paternal grandmother, a spunky woman who is very active and loves taking her grandchildren on outings.

She’s got a younger sibling too, a brother who works in the same animal shelter [name_f]Emma[/name_f] works at. She and her brother are close in age and her brother feels he’s too old for [name_f]Emma[/name_f], so by no means are he and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] really dating. She’s heard from her brother about Emma’s on/off relationship with [name_u]Maxi[/name_u] and the potential of a love triangle due to [name_u]Zan[/name_u] being in the picture as well, but neither [name_f]Marna[/name_f] nor her brother want to get any involvement since they don’t know the whole story. [name_f]Marna[/name_f] is curious about what her brother-in-law, Hallie’s boyfriend, has to say regarding this and whether he knows about it. She still supports [name_f]Hallie[/name_f] and her relationship, even if it came from odd circumstances. [name_f]Marna[/name_f] and [name_u]Jere[/name_u] met in a spin class, neither of them really cared for it and both disliked the instructor, but hey - at least something good came out of that activity.

[name_f]Marna[/name_f] herself is in metalwork, something her daughter [name_f]Lala[/name_f] is very fascinated by. [name_f]Marna[/name_f] and [name_u]Jere[/name_u] believe 3 children are enough for them and aren’t planning on a fourth, but [name_f]Marna[/name_f] also doesn’t really want to get her tubes tied either and would rather have nature take its course on her body. She’s very close with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and adores her red hair, glad to have someone who inherited that from her, and sometimes wishes her own red hair was naturally brighter. From [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Marna[/name_f] knows a bit about a girl who likes her son. This girl who is friends with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] was worried [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] would tell anyone and while [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] accidentally told [name_f]Marna[/name_f], [name_f]Marna[/name_f] still believes in [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and her friends’ “girl code” and has not told her son. Admittedly, she did feel different seeing her son and knowing a girl likes him, having a little sense of “cringey parent” but she’s not an embarrassing parent and minds her business. [name_f]Marna[/name_f] wouldn’t know what the next step is for them, but takes it lightly and is just glad this girl isn’t a bad influence and is a true friend to [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]. [name_f]Marna[/name_f] makes sure her son keeps his other interests alive too, supporting him a lot after he won the school spelling bee. She’s so proud especially seeing she didn’t know most of the words he spelled correctly. She and her husband bought him a gift card to his favourite store and took the family out to dinner and dessert at his favourite restaurant. [name_f]Marna[/name_f] has a good relationship with all her relatives and strives to keep it that way, but thankfully doesn’t have a hard time maintaining it, since they’re lovely people.

He’s very protective of his sisters, especially [name_f]Lala[/name_f], and always tries to be a good brother to them because he always wished that he had an older sibling when he was younger.

[name_u]Van[/name_u] is in eighth grade, but he’s young for his grade and just turned thirteen. He’s been doing taekwondo since he was nine and is very into it. In the winter, he plays basketball on his school team as well. He also enjoys watching professional basketball. Like his sister [name_f]Lala[/name_f], [name_u]Van[/name_u] enjoys art, especially digital art, but not many people know that about him other than his family and close friends. He gets good grades in school and even won the school spelling bee two years ago. [name_u]Van[/name_u] is aware that Elsie’s friend has a crush on him, but he thinks that he is too old for her and pretends that he doesn’t know. [name_u]Van[/name_u] has a little bit of anxiety and is seeing a therapist. He’s fairly popular at his school and has a lot of friends.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] is something that’s preoccupied Celeste’s mind since she was young. Her preoccupation with princesses meant bridal wear soon became the absolute best thing in the world for [name_u]Celeste[/name_u], and she’s still sketching designs of those - as well as other fancy gowns for special occasions - but she became more intrigued by dating as she grew up too. As the youngest of four siblings, Celeste’s seen her siblings fall in and out of love, with her eldest sibling [who’s 11 years older than Celeste] having been with their significant other for almost 5 years now - and they’re currently attending college; being the pinnacle of romance as far as she’s concerned.

While she loves her large family, the fact there’s a 6 year age gap between [name_u]Celeste[/name_u] and the third eldest sibling means her relationship with Elsie’s incredibly important, having someone in her life who knows what she’s going through. This of course led to her becoming interested in [name_u]Van[/name_u]. She often becomes tongue tied around him - answering any questions in a whisper - and Elsie’s faced some embarrassment at how Celeste’s always so bashful the second he pays her attention. Part of [name_u]Celeste[/name_u] battles with the impatience of wanting to experience teenhood - as her older siblings always seem so mature and put together - while loving the freedoms childhood allows her. To her, this is the obstacle when it comes to [name_u]Van[/name_u], as she feels it always makes her seem even more immature given his perspectives.

Something Celeste’s always certain about is her pride in her Mexican heritage and culture. Being asked about it always pulls [name_u]Celeste[/name_u] out of her shell, and she can talk endlessly, especially if she senses genuine interest or meets someone else who has alternative cultural heritage. She’s bilingual and has taught [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] some Spanish, although she feels she needs to improve her teaching skills so her dear friend can benefit more from this. It’s also how she keeps her innermost secrets private, as only one of her friend group is likewise fluent, and Celeste’s careful to ensure she never finds her diary [part of which documents her crush].

While [name_u]Celeste[/name_u] has been in love with love from a young age, [name_f]Era[/name_f] never gave it much thought until she turned twelve and got her first crush. It annoyed her immensely, and there have been many more to follow. [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] is closest to her brother, the second oldest, as they have a small age gap. Now that [name_u]Celeste[/name_u] is older, she and [name_f]Era[/name_f] are closer. They share a love of sketching, although [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] prefers nature and people to fashion. She knows about the crush and hopes [name_u]Celeste[/name_u] will get over it if [name_u]Van[/name_u] doesn’t return her feelings.

[name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] works at a cafe in town to earn some money. She’s become good friends with one of her co-workers who attends a different school. She introduced him to her two school friends; they all hang out now. [name_f]Era[/name_f] doesn’t plan to go to college and wants to become a travel agent. Her parents have always been avid travelers and took their kids on trips too. [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] has souvenirs from Mexico, [name_u]France[/name_u], Australia, [name_f]India[/name_f], [name_u]England[/name_u], and many states in the US. [name_f]Era[/name_f] learned [name_f]English[/name_f] and Spanish at home like the rest of her siblings but also learned [name_u]French[/name_u]. Languages have always interested her, and she plans to learn [name_m]German[/name_m] soon.

[name_f]Era[/name_f] stopped liking crush number five a few months ago. She isn’t exactly thrilled that a sixth crush has surfaced, but this time it feels different. His dad and her dad were friends as kids, and [name_f]Era[/name_f] met him when she was younger. His family moved here a few weeks ago. Her past crushes have been on boys who didn’t notice her or talk to her much, if at all. This time, he’s actively trying to befriend her. [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] has ranted to her older sister about how nice he is, and even she thinks this is more than just a superficial crush. [name_f]Era[/name_f] is trying not to get her hopes up, but the fact that she often catches him looking at her makes that extremely hard. [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] feels a bit weird about liking him because he’s a year younger than her, although they’re both in eleventh grade. Her older sister promises her it’s not weird, reminding her that their mom is a bit older than their dad.

[name_f]Citlali[/name_f] " [name_u]Tali[/name_u] " [name_f]Ysabel[/name_f] Villacorta (18) is the second eldest sibling and primary confident of [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]. Some would argue Tali’s the antidote to any and all parental worries about dating. She’s firmly disinterested in it currently, what with preparation for dance school being at the forefront of her mind, and outside of this, Tali’s demisexual; although she acknowledges it does lead to her worrying sometimes about developing feelings for a close friend, who won’t necessarily reciprocal. In spite of this, [name_u]Tali[/name_u] never shrugs off the questions of [name_f]Era[/name_f], who she empathises with and always has time for. When they were little, they were usually raising hell together, although everyone will tell you [name_u]Tali[/name_u] was the driver of this madness, not that she refutes the assertion: she’s pretty proud of how she’s come on since then.

Aged five, she began dance classes, and instantly, something clicked in her mind. Although none of her siblings developed the same love Tali’s maintained, it never bothered her, in spite of initial fears on her first day about not enjoying it if [name_f]Era[/name_f] wasn’t going to join her eventually. Starting with ballet Tali’s progressed and now street, acro and interpretative pieces tend to be her favourites, as she feels they compliment her nature best - in particular as she can weave her favourite music genres into performances, opposed to following classical tunes. It didn’t surprise her parents at all to see [name_u]Tali[/name_u] focus on going to a dance based college, and they’ve been nothing but supportive of her pursuits, something she does worry about not expressing enough appreciation for.

When she isn’t practicing or trying to help [name_f]Era[/name_f] identify ways of expressing her affection, [name_u]Tali[/name_u] tends to receive questions from [name_u]Celeste[/name_u]: who’s crush she finds both endearing and amusing, not that she’s let her sister know about the latter. [name_u]Tali[/name_u] also spends a lot of time outdoors: be it hiking with her friends, wild swimming or trying to find places to urban explore, not that they’ve had much luck yet. She also got a pet bearded dragon - Sprite - for her 16th birthday and won’t hear anything negative said about him from people deeming him scary. He has his own insta attached to her account and PR is important for him! Sometimes her humour confuses her parents - they find [name_u]Tali[/name_u] a little too self-deprecating and focused on obscurity - but like her younger sisters’, she’s always proud and open about their culture, never letting anyone question this part of her.

He has just moved here - as a student of a local boarding school , which is singular-gender and focuses on STEM fields.
Attending this kind of prestigious school and getting away from his family - including an annoying younger sister and strict father , who would want [name_m]Delmar[/name_m] to join the military instaed of pursue his passion of chemistry.

He used to break-dance and paint graffiti with a bunch of troublemakers from his hometown. The Chemistry Club girl also works with [name_f]Era[/name_f] and [name_m]Delmar[/name_m] in the same cafe, so they have a lot in common to talk about, but also to gossip…

Well, that’s the problem here - [name_f]Era[/name_f] told the girl about getting over her fifth crush, who happened to be [name_m]Delmar[/name_m] 's roomate from the boarding school and a guy who barely knew [name_f]Era[/name_f] existed , because they only met a few times in passing and [name_f]Era[/name_f] built up a mysterious image of the generally goofy and fun-loving guy based on his alternative, dark fashion sense.
[name_m]Delmar[/name_m] told his roomate about the (now expired) crush of [name_f]Era[/name_f] , whom she told her chemistry club friend about… The guy was astonished at the fact that [name_f]Era[/name_f] was at one point interested in him, and became determined to win [name_f]Era[/name_f] back whilst trying to use [name_m]Delmar[/name_m] as a wing man… Meanwhile, [name_f]Era[/name_f] 's current crush lives only a few blocks away from the premises of the boarding school and is actively trying to befriend [name_f]Era[/name_f] , while she wonders at every opportunity and asks [name_m]Delmar[/name_m] & her other 2 friends for advice about whether he should ask her current crush out or not… [name_m]Delmar[/name_m] already told her not to bother because he wants to support his roomate in winning [name_f]Era[/name_f] back, but he wonders what the other members of the friend group will advise. He feels this is all a disaster waiting to happen.

[name_f]Madi[/name_f] is an amazing ballet dancer. Back in Minnesota, she was a great skiier/snowboarder in the winter and mountain biker in the summer; but ballet was all year round. She is very advanced and performs plenty of shows. While [name_m]Delmar[/name_m], [name_u]Tali[/name_u], and [name_f]Madi[/name_f] don’t do the same type of dance, they find it to be better; [name_m]Delmar[/name_m] teaches [name_f]Madi[/name_f] break-dancing and [name_u]Tali[/name_u] teaches her acro, while [name_f]Madi[/name_f] likes to make them perform ballet. She also interns at her ballet school, and gets paid for it.

[name_f]Madi[/name_f] knows all about Era’s love life. While she has never been that interested in romance, she has a crush, but isn’t sure she’s ready to tell [name_f]Era[/name_f] yet. See, she has always been the very loud, crazy one of the group, but not around guys she likes. And she likes Era’s old crush, the one who is trying to win [name_f]Era[/name_f] back. She doesn’t think the guy will ever like her, because he’s trying so hard to get [name_f]Era[/name_f] back, and the only person she’s told is the last person in the friend group. Obviously, she and the other friend are trying to convince [name_f]Era[/name_f] to ask her new crush out, so that maybe [name_f]Madi[/name_f] can have a chance with the old one. [name_f]Alexus[/name_f] is a gymnast and is currently taking classes, going to go professional after finishing school. [name_f]Alexus[/name_f] asks a lot if [name_u]Tali[/name_u] wants to do the same for dancing, feeling her sister is very good and has a passion. She often gets asked for advice following the crush dilemmas given she’s older than the friend group but still at their school and not older by much, so she can relate to them. At least she can age-wise, she’s not sure if she can really do so in a social level. The reason why is because she’s newly dating crush four, the guy right before the guy [name_f]Era[/name_f] just fell out of love with. They’ve actually just gone on a few dates but they’re going together to Homecoming and the two know that after the dance, it will solidify whether they want a relationship or if they’re just casual. [name_f]Alexus[/name_f] feels awkward knowing [name_f]Era[/name_f] used to like him however because she actually had no idea until [name_u]Tali[/name_u] told her. Granted, she’s glad [name_f]Era[/name_f] isn’t trying to pursue crush four anymore, but she’s curious as to why crush five’s name tends to pop up in conversation. She knows [name_f]Era[/name_f] is particular to crush six, but [name_m]Delmar[/name_m] seems to believe that crush five may have been the better option after all. [name_f]Alexus[/name_f] doesn’t know as much as [name_u]Tali[/name_u] about five and six and has lingering questions. Why did [name_f]Era[/name_f] fall out of love again for crush five? Is crush six for her or is he just another “crush phase”? Would [name_f]Era[/name_f] stay in love with crush six? While [name_f]Alexus[/name_f] believes that [name_f]Era[/name_f] doesn’t quite know what she wants in a guy, she admires the determination that crush five has on winning [name_f]Era[/name_f] back. She also supports Delmar’s role in helping them. He knows that [name_f]Era[/name_f] fell for him in the past, but is yet to know why [name_f]Era[/name_f] stopped falling for him. As for [name_f]Alexus[/name_f]? She didn’t have the nerve to tell him. She knows it’s going chaotic but she’s rather leave it for someone else to deal with.

[name_m]Lars[/name_m] and [name_f]Alexus[/name_f] have not been dating long but [name_m]Lars[/name_m] has recently asked her to homecoming and he is hopeful that it will go well. [name_m]Lars[/name_m] did not know that [name_f]Era[/name_f] used to like him before [name_f]Alexus[/name_f] and [name_u]Tali[/name_u] told him, but he didn’t mind because he didn’t really know [name_f]Era[/name_f] that well and never was particularly into her.

[name_m]Lars[/name_m] knows crush five kind of well, but he is closer with the guys who play basketball with him on the school team. [name_m]Lars[/name_m] is not the greatest basketball player on the team - that’s his best friend - but he is still good. The fact that Lars’ best friend is better at basketball than him has not caused any tension between them, despite the fact that his best friend recently received a sports scholarship. This is because though [name_m]Lars[/name_m] enjoys basketball, his ultimate goal in life is to be a mechanic, which no one is surprised by seeing as he often fixes his own car and his dad’s beaten up station wagon that he refuses to replace.

[name_m]Lars[/name_m] isn’t really aware of the drama going on between [name_f]Era[/name_f] and all of her crushes, but he does know a bit about it from [name_f]Alexus[/name_f]. He’s glad that [name_f]Era[/name_f] is over his crush on him so he doesn’t need to feel guilty for dating her friend. He personally doesn’t understand how [name_f]Era[/name_f] could have so many crushes on so many people, as [name_m]Lars[/name_m] hasn’t been interested in anyone before [name_f]Alexus[/name_f] in a long time - after a pretty rocky breakup between he and his ex, who had cheated on him, affecting him greatly but he didn’t show it to anyone.

[name_m]Lars[/name_m] tries his best to be there for other people but can be a little bit awkward when it comes to people’s emotions, which stems from his father not being a very emotion-driven guy and [name_m]Lars[/name_m] picked up on that. Whenever someone is crying around [name_m]Lars[/name_m], he often feels uncomfortable and doesn’t know what to do. He doesn’t like seeing people upset, he just isn’t very good at comforting people so he leaves that to others. This of course also means that he’s not very intuned with his own feelings, and is often a very private person.

He’s a second-generation immigrant from The Gambia and he’s always open to talk about it …especially to those who mistake it for Zambia, or “Nambia” which is not even a real country. That’s just how this one rich former reality show host called Namibia, which [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] cringes at. [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] was actually Era’s second crush, which he doesn’t really bother with, and both are amicably not falling for each other, especially since [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] is gay! [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] has been more open than in previous years although he’s still single. He bonds very well and is [name_m]Vice[/name_m] [name_m]President[/name_m] of the school’s GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) although the alliance also focuses on other gender and sexuality identities besides just homosexuality. He’s also the alliance’s biggest recruiter at school and recruited [name_m]Lars[/name_m] as a straight ally and a few others regardless of their identities.

Unlike [name_m]Lars[/name_m], [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] can be much more sociable but the friends balance one another out. [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] has a difficult time of his own discussing many serious issues but he’s trying his best to improve and not be seen as a fair-weather friend. [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] respects Lara’s privacy and understands that there will be secrets that he doesn’t know about [name_m]Lars[/name_m]. He is aware that he doesn’t have to know them just because they are best friends and in some cases, secrets are truly meant for one. [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] used to be rather short and thin as a child, given which some of the people he went to preschool with joked he was “a typical starving African kid”. [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] was never emaciated, his parents just had slim frames. It wasn’t until he hit his growth spurt that he built up more and grew taller and while he retains some natural thinness, he’s very strong and amazing at basketball. He’s glad he “got revenge” on his bullies by being his best self, but he’s worried that such small children could already be so ignorant, and questions who raised them.

[name_m]Nasser[/name_m] has his mind on basketball at the moment, since they have the big Homecoming game right before the dance. [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] knows [name_m]Lars[/name_m] wants to be a mechanic but also knows [name_m]Lars[/name_m] will be a great player in the Homecoming game as well. [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] doesn’t know what crush six’s stance is on all this, although he knows crush six doesn’t go to the games yet wants their team to win since he’s got a bone to pick with the rival school. Something about his older brother once being a student there and having a cheating ex-girlfriend who attended the rival school. [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] knows how harsh that had to have been, especially since his best friend [name_m]Lars[/name_m] was cheated on. [name_f]Tia[/name_f] is passionate about social justice and is involved in various activist groups at school. She’s an excellent student and plans to study Sociology in college. [name_f]Tia[/name_f] loves to read and write poetry in her free time and often shares her work with [name_m]Nasser[/name_m] and their other close friends. Despite facing some discrimination and microaggressions at school, [name_f]Tia[/name_f] is always optimistic and works hard to create a supportive community around her.
