Calandra or Callista?

Thanks for the suggestion! Husband isn’t super into [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f], but it was worth a shot!

Thanks for the heads up about [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] being connected to a Catholic miracle! I love how there is a religious connection after all! It definitely makes the decision even harder, especially since the middles we are considering are saint names as well.

I definitely think [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] has a different sort of attention-grabbing quality than [name_f]Callista[/name_f]. [name_f]Callista[/name_f] is more “oh that’s pretty” whereas [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] might be more of a conversation starter.

I do love the elegantness of [name_f]Callista[/name_f]! It’s definitely something tough to find in other names!

I agree with your thoughts! I personally lean [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] as well, though we seem to be a minority haha. But I feel it is probably more of a personal style thing than anything. But my ear definitely tells me [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] and [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] sound better together.

They definitely have different vibes! There definitely is an elegant oomph that [name_f]Callista[/name_f] has that [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] doesn’t have. It’s amazing how similar names can have such different feels to them!

Thank you! It’s definitely been a tough decision when [name_f]Callista[/name_f] alone sounds better but it doesn’t quite sound the best with our last name (and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], but that seems up for debate).

Majestic is definitely a word I’d use to describe both [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] and [name_f]Callista[/name_f]! But the uniqueness of [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] does keep me coming back to it…such a tough decision!

[name_f]Callista[/name_f] just feels more sparkly than [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] in my opinion!

Haha, I noticed that too! I’m not sure what it is but Calandra just sounds perfect with Seraphina to my ear as well. Maybe it’s the ra sound?

I think that might be it! I think I put similar emphasis on “na” and “ra”, so the rhythm is similar?

I also think Seraphina and Calandra look more balanced, like they look about the same length. Callista is the same number of letters, but all the vertical, line-y letters makes it look shorter overall.
