What do you think of the name [name]Calla[/name] for a little girl?
It’s been a favourite of mine for years. My name is [name]Kayla[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you think [name]Calla[/name] is too close to [name]Kayla[/name] for mother and daughter?
What middle name would you pair with [name]Calla[/name]?
I think it’s lovely. It is pretty similar to your name, but I’d say if it’s what you love, go for it anyway. [name]Calla[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] sounds lovely to me.
I think [name]Calla[/name] is very pretty, but (as my name is [name]Caroline[/name] and I’ve never considered putting it on my first name list due to the similarity of the 2 names) I think it might be too close to [name]Kayla[/name].
I absolutely adore [name]Calla[/name]. It’s lovely and so underused. If I were a [name]Kayla[/name] I suspect that I would probably consider it too close to my own name to use, but if that doesn’t bother you then you should go for it. It really isn’t a huge issue.
I really like the name [name]Calla[/name]. If my name were [name]Kayla[/name], I wouldn’t use it as a first name. For a middle name though it’d be a definite possibility.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Calla[/name], it’s a beautiful name! I don’t think it’s too close to [name]Kayla[/name], I actually think it’s wonderful and subtle namesake!
I think this is a lovely name. If it bothers you that it’s close to [name]Kayla[/name], then don’t use it, unless you like it so much more than all other names that it outweighs that. If it doesn’t bother you, then make sure you consider that some people may be mildly surprised. I don’t think it’ll come up that often, or elicit that strong of a reaction. [name]Do[/name] you like the nn [name]Callie[/name]? If so, I think that gives you more distance, if that helps. Similarly you could go with [name]Calista[/name] nn [name]Calla[/name], if you like [name]Calista[/name] : D.
Good luck! With [name]Calla[/name] I think a one syllable or three syllable name that starts with a consonant (but maybe not L or C/K?) and doesn’t end in -a will likely sound best. Really like the suggestions of [name]Genevieve[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name].
