My husband and I only have one so far (Miriam), but we hope we have as many as the Lord allows us too. We like uncommon biblical names as first names and family names (first, middle, or last) as middle names.

It’s so neat when there are many families we know who get to live to see and do life with their 30 grandkids. We would be lucky if we could have 20 hopefully!

i wouldn’t say i’m part of a big big family, though i’m one of four which is more then most!

our names are:
emilia ‘mimi’
osc@r ‘orca’
augu$t ‘gus’
l!lia ‘lils/leelee’

we definitely don’t have a theme! i guess you could say that all our names contain an ‘a’ though that’s not really a theme more so coincidence.

well my parents didn’t! if you say my sister’s name and my name aloud you can here they sound really similar, even rhyming! though we’ve both learned when it is us or our sister. like if our mum yells, “who left all the princess dresses on the floor” rest assured we can guess she’s talking to l!lia!

[name_f]My[/name_f] immediate family isn’t huge, just three kids. But my dad was youngest of five. Parents [name_f]Zelma[/name_f] and [name_m]Earl[/name_m], children are [name_f]Erlene[/name_f], [name_m]Sherman[/name_m], [name_f]Annette[/name_f], [name_m]Randall[/name_m], [name_m]Richard[/name_m], and [name_m]Stan[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband, however, has 7 siblings and is the youngest. It took a long time to get them all down. Parents are [name_f]Linda[/name_f] and [name_m]John[/name_m], kids are [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Jr[/name_m], [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], [name_f]Laura[/name_f], [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], [name_m]Mark[/name_m], [name_m]Erick[/name_m], and [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]. I get mixed up with the birth order of [name_m]Matt[/name_m], [name_m]Mark[/name_m] and [name_m]Erick[/name_m], especially since I’ve never actually met [name_m]Erick[/name_m] oh yeah and 7 brothers and 1 sister. And that sister went on to have 6 boys and no girls of her own! [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter is the first grandchild on my side of the family, but the 17th grandchild on my husband’s side.

I don’t come from a large immediate family but my dad has 12 brothers & sisters and my mom has 11. (Which in total gives me 46 aunts and uncles and 100+ first cousins ranging in ages from 65 to 8)

With my dad’s family they all have very time period appropriate names. Nothing too original (think [name_m]Robert[/name_m] & Brenda)
[name_f]My[/name_f] mom’s family was a little more adventurous but still appropriate for the time they were born. Both sets of grandparents tried to give each child their own unique names, however one set of grandparents did end up using names that had rhyming nicknames (coincidentally) so I have an Aunt [name_f]Jen[/name_f], Uncle [name_m]Ben[/name_m], Uncle [name_m]Ken[/name_m] & Aunt [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] all in one family

omg its my time to shine. i’m one of 7, but my family is a brady brunch. the five before me are half-siblings, little bro and i are full. oldest brother is 43 while my little brother is 14 (15 in a week :sob:). i dont think our names have a theme but im also biased.

names

older brother 1 k.enneth a.llen (k.enneth is my dad; a.llen is my paternal grandpaw’s middle name)
older sister 1 t.onya r.enee
older sister 2 k.ayla e.laine
older brother 2 t.aylor g.rant (g.rant is his uncle)
older brother 3 l.ogan f.isher
me b.ailey p.atricia (p.atricia is my maternal grandma) (i always disliked my first name so when i was 15 i started going by levi)
little brother b.rody t.aylor

i’ve always been jealous over ob3’s name. WHY IS IT SO COOL. honor names are pretty important in our family too, but besides that our family doesn’t really have any naming traditions.

mom is youngest of three (her older brother passed away from sids before she was born). she’s j.ennifer a.nn (a.nn after my maternal grandma). living uncle is t.homas s.cott (t.homas is maternal grandpaw). dead uncle is d.aryl c.raig.

dad’s family is…interesting. i’ll spare you guys the details because it is so messy but dad has 11 half-siblings, no full siblings (lol). dad is k.enneth w.ayne (i don’t think he was named after anyone).

dads siblings in order

r.ichard e.ugene “rick”
t.imothy l.eon
dad
w.illiam t.ravis “travis”
d.onna a.nnette “annette”
w.ayne c.onrad
l.inda s.ue
c.ynthia r.enee “cindy”
l.etha d.awn “dawn”
w.illiam d.oyle jr. “bill”
m.elissa r.oberta
k.ristina m.arie

somehow i only have 7 first cousins. this is what happens when u grow up in big families lol. all of my grandparents had big families (except paternal grandmaw! oldest of three) so i have like 8 million second cousins.
