Is it too much of a mouthful with our last name of [name_u]Kyle[/name_u]?
Is [name_f]Camillia[/name_f] an accepted spelling?
And does the nickname [name_f]Millie[/name_f] work for [name_f]Camillia[/name_f]? [name_u]Cam[/name_u]/ [name_f]Cammi[/name_f] is too close to a family member’s name, and I think [name_f]Mila[/name_f] sounds too exotic with our son’s name, so it’s out!
If you like [name_f]Millie[/name_f] then I would just go for that. [name_f]Camillia[/name_f] [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] does have a bit of a fictional character name feel to it.
Also not sure where you are from but here in [name_f]Canada[/name_f] there is a baby homeopathic product made by Boiron called [name_f]Camilia[/name_f].
I noticed under your future daughter list you said [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] dd#1 is named [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and absolutely love the name. It fits her so well and I think will age nicely.
Thanks for the input karenph! [name_m]How[/name_m] old is your [name_f]Ada[/name_f]? [name_m]Travis[/name_m] is 2.

I definitely think it works with your last name. [name_f]My[/name_f] personal preference is [name_f]Camille[/name_f] or [name_f]Camilla[/name_f], though. And I love [name_f]Milly[/name_f]/[name_f]Millie[/name_f] with [name_m]Travis[/name_m].
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the list and the feedback. Here are my top picks from your gorgeous list:
[name_f]Emiliana[/name_f] I adore it, but one of our best friends has “called” this name!
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] I have been pondering this one… It’s a family name for me, which is always a huge bonus!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] I like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but I have a close family member named [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]… too close? What do you think? It’s also a family name for me. (great great grandmother)
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] I have always adored this, but DH says it’s “too long.”
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] I love this one, but I really wanna use [name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_f]Flora[/name_f] if we have a second girl… Would it be cheesy to have one flower name and a “[name_f]Flora[/name_f]?”
[name_f]Mallory[/name_f] I suggested this one to DH, and he says it’s “just not quite right.” I do think it sounds super cute with our last name.
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] I’m a tad afraid to fall in love with this, as I have ANOTHER close family member nicknamed “[name_f]Ro[/name_f].” I feel like I am tiptoeing around the edges of an abyss! I don’t wanna step on anyone’s toes! haha [name_f]My[/name_f] family has great first names!
I will also second [name_f]Millicent[/name_f]! It is a vintage gem in my opinion and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and [name_m]Travis[/name_m] are a lovely sibset!
I don’t think [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is too close to [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] at all, in fact it never even occurred to me until you pointed it out.
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] is also beautiful and you’d be using [name_f]Millie[/name_f] not [name_f]Ro[/name_f] so that shouldn’t be a problem as pp said. Have you got a middle name picked? That may make it easier to decide which flows better X
I prefer [name_f]Camille[/name_f]. [name_f]Ada[/name_f] is lovely as well.
I’m not a fan of [name_f]Camillia[/name_f] - it looks a smoosh between [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f], and it sounds a bit off to my ears. [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] doesn’t have a great flow, but I agree with a pp that [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] sounds great. Besides, you could get to [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and it wouldn’t be a stretch. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and [name_m]Travis[/name_m] are gorgeous together, and so are [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and [name_m]Travis[/name_m]. =)
I second the suggestions of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] are perfectly fine, and I don’t think [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] are too similar, specially if you call her [name_f]Millie[/name_f].
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] is 18 months and a busy little toddler ;). Good luck with picking a name! So hard… struggling to pick name for our second daughter who should be here in the next 3 weeks.
