Cameron for a Girl

My husbands name so I think of it as a boys name but still think it could be used for a girl!

Cameron is a name that I can picture evenly on a boy or a girl. I do feel like the [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] spelling is slightly more masculine (it wouldn’t be weird if a girl was given this spelling though). All the girl [name_u]Cameron[/name_u]’s I know have spelled their names like [name_u]Kamryn[/name_u] or [name_u]Camryn[/name_u].

My first image is [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] [name_u]Diaz[/name_u]. I believe [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] works for girl! I’m not a fan of the alternative spellings.

I met a girl named [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] in one of my classes before but she went by her middle name. I think it’s a little more masculine and prefer the spellings [name_u]Camryn[/name_u], [name_u]Kamryn[/name_u], and [name_u]Kamron[/name_u] on a girl.

Good luck!

If you feel the need to change the spelling to make it “feminine,” that should tell you it is masculine.

Cameron for a girl is GREAT.
Camryn’s spelling is a bit of a disaster. Will spend entire life correcting people. The standard spelling is already widely used and by both men and women such that I wouldn’t assume the wearer’s gender either way, so definitely no need to pursue an alternate spelling to differentiate.

Cameron works for a girl. [name_m]Just[/name_m] look at [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] [name_u]Diaz[/name_u] or [name_u]Camryn[/name_u] Manheim. I don’t think one spelling is better for a girl than the other personally, though I think I prefer the look of [name_u]Camryn[/name_u].
