My partner likes Camilla but i prefer the Camille version. My issue is the meaning of the name. The meaning of the name is very important to us and Camilla/Camille means young cermonial attendent. Not that great…
A similar name is Kamilah (or Camilah) which has a meaning we like. Only thing is that it is a muslim/arabic name. While we have muslim friends and family (cousin level) we are not religious our selves.
Should we keep Kamilah as an option? Is there any similar names with good meanings we should consider?
I like [name_f]Kamilah[/name_f]! The meaning “perfect” is lovely, too. [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] is a name similar that is a really pretty flower.
I don’t think you have to be religious to use it but I wouldn’t personally use [name_f]Kamilah[/name_f] (and there will likely be spelling issues if that bothers you) but it is still pretty.
If it makes you feel better about [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] “This was the name of a legendary warrior maiden of the Volsci, as told by [name_m]Virgil[/name_m] in the Aeneid .”
Which is pretty cool.

I think [name_f]Mila[/name_f] has a bit too nicknamey feel for me

I like [name_f]Angela[/name_f] and [name_f]Monica[/name_f] even though Im not sure [name_f]Monica[/name_f] is ready for revival yet. Most Monicas around here is abt 50-60
[name_f]Kamala[/name_f] is cool. [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] makes me think of camels. I want to like it but not sure i can
[name_f]Kamille[/name_f] (Kah-mi-luh) is a similar name. It’s [name_m]Dutch[/name_m] and means chamomile.
I don’t actually know any Monica’s so I guess I’m not sure when it’s ready
