I love the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], but I don’t like the nicknames Scar (yuck!) or [name_f]Letty[/name_f]/[name_f]Lettie[/name_f]. Would [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] work as a nn for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]? (not expecting, I just love baby names )
Personally I think it seems like a stretch (whats wrong with [name_f]Lettie[/name_f]? so cute!)
Yes, I think it works. [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] is cute too though!
About [name_f]Lettie[/name_f]…we have bad associations with [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] in our family…
It’s kinda cute, but not my style really.
Yeah, with a big stretch. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] can be [name_u]Scout[/name_u], by the way.
I don’t think it’s too big of a stretch to get [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] from [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f], and I like the idea of [name_u]Scout[/name_u] too!
@mclevine [name_u]Scout[/name_u] is cute, for a boy. I’m usually a big fan of unisex names on girls, so it might just grow on me…
I think if you want [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], use [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I don’t even understand how [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] can turn into [name_u]Scout[/name_u] personally.
@dramagrl I also love [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] but feel just so-so about all the nicknames (even though I love [name_u]Scout[/name_u] from To Kill a Mockingbird). If I go with a middle name ending in ie or y, for example [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f], then I think I can get away with [name_u]Sky[/name_u], which I think is so cute. [name_m]Just[/name_m] an idea.
What a cute idea! Never thought of it.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is a gorgeous name! I understand about you disliking the ‘Scar’ nickname but [name_f]Letty[/name_f]/[name_f]Lettie[/name_f] is adorable! Concerning [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] I think that’s a long stretch, [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] works as a nickname for [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] but not for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] it’s just a long stretch in my eyes.
@tori101 As I stated before, [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] is just nms AND I have bad associations.
I dont like lettie lottie is cute though & think it can work but honestly you can nickname her anything… my mom calls me a name that is in no relation or even close to my name
Edited for privacy.
What about [name_f]Carlie[/name_f]? Or [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]… okay, [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] might be really pushing it. There’s also [name_f]Etta[/name_f]. :]
I think Scar or [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] would be cute!
