Can you change your email?

Hi, I wasn’t sure whether to message a mod to help me answer this so I just decided to ask here instead.

When I made this account three years ago I was stupid and decided to put my school email (as I was 15 and didn’t have a personal email yet for some reason) and now I’m graduating and will lose access to the email i registered under in a couple of months - I will be very sad if I lose access to this account and was wondering if there was any way I could change the email address this account is under? TIA!

I had to update my email a while back and I was able to do it on the main site and then it updated on the forums automatically. It’s under Account > Manage Account

i’ve done that, and i got an email with a confirmation code but i’m not sure where to input said code on the website to confirm the new address?

that’s odd, what does the email say exactly? when i tried it, it told me it would send me a link to click to confirm the new email address, but is it different for you?

I have a problem with this!

When I change my email, it says to click the confirmation link I receive by email. But I receive a code that needs to be entered, no link. But there’s nowhere to put the code in so I can’t change my email

I found what I believe is the email from when I updated my email address and it says:

"Welcome (email address)

[name_m]You[/name_m] can confirm your email address through the link below:

(link)

Or go to https://nameberry.com/auth/confirm-email and copy and paste this code into your browser: (code)"

I just went to that link in an Incognito window and it has a place to enter a confirmation code. Weird it wasn’t included in either of your emails, but maybe worth a try?

[name_m]Not[/name_m] sure about OP but this let me put the code in, but then got stuck on the screen that says “logging you in…” And when I refresh my account it hasn’t updated the email (unless there’s a delay). [name_f]Strange[/name_f] it wasn’t in the email I got but thank you for sharing the link!

I got an email which gave me a code which it told me to enter in the nameberry website, whereas on the website it says to follow the link in the email but I don’t believe there is one (that i can see?)

my email reads:

[name_m]Welcome[/name_m] (email address)!

Enter this code on the website to confirm your email address:

(code)

and thats it

i thought it worked and (it claimed to be logging me in under the new email address) but i waited 5 minutes and it just refused to log me in with it.

Did you manage to get it changed? It’s still not working for me, I’ve emailed support but wondered if you found a way to fix it?

no not yet - support haven’t replied (emailed them two weeks ago…). I’ve found out I will lose this email in [name_m]September[/name_m] rather than [name_f]June[/name_f] so I am less immediately worried, but I still need the situation sorted!!
