I think as a “joke” nickname, absolutely (and then that might turn into a more regular nickname) but if you name you kid [name_f]Betty[/name_f], don’t expect [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] to catch on as a nickname!

I don’t think that’s weird at all, it’s just a pet name. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom calls my sister and I (name)iana(name)ington as a joke. I also have a million of these for my dog
