[name_m]Canaan[/name_m] is shown on the Nameberry site as a boys name, but I just heard it on a girl. While I was a little surprised, I thought to myself that it kind of worked. “The Promised Land” meaning and the strong -n ending. A little out there but not unheard of.
What are your thoughts?
It’s a city in the Bible so I think it could work, I love the name [name_u]Jericho[/name_u] for a girl which is in the same category. There’s also the name [name_m]Kanan[/name_m] which is an Arabic boy name and a [name_f]Indian[/name_f] unisex name (used in multiple languages spoken in India)
