If anyone is wondering why no appearance of [name]Elizabeth[/name], it’s because it’s our niece’s name (she goes by [name]Lizzy[/name]). MN will be [name]Gwen[/name] after my grandmother, although I’m thinking of lengthening it to [name]Gwendolen[/name] in a combo with [name]Bethan[/name].
I’d really like something that goes okay or doesn’t clash horribly with my children’s names: [name]Logan[/name] [name]Isaac[/name], [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Marilyn[/name], and [name]Michael[/name] [name]Lawrence[/name] “[name]Mick[/name]”.
For me, [name]Beatrix[/name] makes the best combo with [name]Logan[/name], [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Michael[/name]. [name]Bettina[/name] is also wonderful but stands out other names you picked.
Oh happy day! A [name]Betty[/name]! Any day I meet a [name]Betty[/name] is a good day.
Betony [name]Gwendolen[/name] is beautiful. It’s quite witchy-mysterious/romantic, because of the herb, and the Welshness of [name]Gwendolen[/name]. I like the contrast of that vibe against spunky [name]Betty[/name].
[name]Bethany[/name] is so lovely, but there’s some reality television person named [name]Bethany[/name] who seems awful, and has besmirched the name for me.
[name]Bethan[/name] is also great, but [name]Bethan[/name] [name]Gwendolen[/name] sounds like “[name]Beth[/name] and…”
[name]Beatrice[/name] would be an excellent choice. It’s more popular than Betony, so I slightly favor Betony. I think [name]Beatrice[/name] sounds a bit better than [name]Beatrix[/name] with gentle [name]Gwen[/name] or [name]Gwendolen[/name]. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Gwendolen[/name] ooh la la that’s gorgeous.
[name]Bettina[/name] is really sweet. It’s like the tinkling of piano keys. [name]Bettina[/name] [name]Gwen[/name]. [name]Gwendolen[/name] would take it into overly feminine frilly territory imo. I’m not as wild about the flow of [name]Bettina[/name] G. as Betony [name]Gwendolen[/name] or [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Gwendolen[/name].
So happy you’re having a [name]Betty[/name]! Congratulations!
Oh, I love [name]Betty[/name]!
[name]Bettina[/name] is a favorite of mine. If I were to have a [name]Betty[/name], her formal name would be [name]Elisabetta[/name] or [name]Isabetta[/name].
I also like [name]Betty[/name] in a vintage combo. [name]Betty[/name] [name]Anne[/name] or [name]Betty[/name] [name]Jean[/name].
I like [name]Beatrix[/name] and [name]Bettina[/name] best, especially with your other children’s names. To me, [name]Beth[/name] is the most obvious nn for [name]Bethany[/name], and [name]Bethan[/name] would be confused for [name]Bethany[/name] constantly.
Hmm…
From these choices my favourite is [name]Beatrix[/name]!
I’m not a [name]Bethany[/name]/[name]Bethan[/name] fan I find the names unattractive and bland. I feel [name]Bettina[/name] clashes too much with [name]Logan[/name], [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Michael[/name] far too retro and out there. Furthermore this name has an almost Italian feel which clashes with [name]Logan[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], and [name]Michael[/name] which feel southern together especially with [name]Betty[/name]. I think [name]Beatrice[/name] is far to elegant and lacks that sparky casual stance that the rest of children’s names have. Thus leaving me with the elegant but sparky choice of [name]Beatrix[/name] with her electric ‘x’ sound and buzzy sound. I think [name]Logan[/name], [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Michael[/name] work stunningly well with [name]Beatrix[/name]. I think that’s a great choice for a more formal choice.
[name]Bethany[/name] goes great with your kids’ names and is my favorite out of all those! I know I’m in the minority on this, but I think [name]Betty[/name] is fine as just a full name by itself - it was in the top 10 for a long time and one of the Design Mom kids is just named [name]Betty[/name] (& wears it adorably!)
[name]Bethan[/name]/[name]Bethany[/name] does not appeal to me. I dislike [name]Beth[/name]- though. And [name]Bethany[/name] has a grating '80s-'90s sound to me, much like [name]Brittany[/name].
[name]Beatrix[/name] is a bit spunkier and [name]Beatrice[/name] a bit softer - I like both, but slightly favour [name]Beatrice[/name] for seeming not to try so hard to be cool. I would consider using either of these myself if I could convince my husband.
Betony is a beautiful flower and an interesting nature choice in itself, but it’s not one I would use as a first name because unfortunately confusion with the much more popular and not-as-nice [name]Bethany[/name] seems inevitable.
So put me down for [name]Beatrice[/name], followed closely by [name]Beatrix[/name].
