Really random question but are these names equivalents of each other? Ie is [name_f]Caoimhe[/name_f] the feminine form of Caoimhin? I believe the pronunciations are similar (Caoimhe = [name_u]Keeva[/name_u] & I think Caoimhin is pronounced like Keevin) but I’d just like some clarification
They have shared roots but are slightly different
Caoimhin is from Caomh (dear, beloved, gentle) and gein (birth), so ‘beloved birth’ is the meaning.
Caoimhe is just from Caomh, so means ‘beloved, gentle, dear’
However! I’ve also seen them listed to mean beautiful and handsome so…
