I am due in [name_u]December[/name_u] with my second child. We found out about a month ago that it is a little girl!
I grew up vacationing with my family every summer in [name_u]North[/name_u] Truro, Mass (Cape Cod). [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I were married there 3 years ago and have decided to continue the “family tradition”. We rent every [name_f]September[/name_f] for our honey moon!
I know I’m having my baby in winter but I’d love some beachy girl names to name our daughter! Her middle name if more unisex will be [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] (to add a more feminine touch). And if it’s a REALLY girly first name her middle name will be [name_u]Michael[/name_u] (to tone down the girly first name)!
Any help and opinions would be greatly appreciated! I’d truly like to find a name that would be associated with Cape Cod if at all possible!
We use to go to Hyannis [name_m]Port[/name_m] when I was growing up. [name_u]Love[/name_u] Cape Cod! Off the top of my head:
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] (we used to try to get peaks of the compound! Or a [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] name like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] or [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f].)
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] (after MV. Some traditional nicknames are [name_u]Mattie[/name_u] and [name_u]Patsy[/name_u], so cute!)
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] (first English child born in Plymouth. Actually, maybe look up Mayflower passenger names. I know [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Susanna[/name_f], [name_f]Remember[/name_f], [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f], not sure what else there is).
[name_u]True[/name_u] or [name_u]Truly[/name_u] - I’ve seen these as names lately, and are more appealing as a name than Truro.
Are there any pretty names of roads/streets/ponds in the area you frequent? I don’t know [name_u]North[/name_u] Truro very well at all.
