What do you think of the name [name_f]Carly[/name_f]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s still a nice name or does it sound too 80s/90s? I’ve always liked it and I have a close friend named [name_f]Karly[/name_f] with a K so I am pretty biased towards it. I think it could work well on both a little girl and an adult too.
I tend to associate it with lots of people my age… But I’m sure once you had a little girl any associations would disappear and it would just be her name. The sounds are beautiful, it’s short & sweet!

I’ve always had a soft spot for it because it is one of my grams nns ([name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] nn [name_f]Carly[/name_f]). I prefer it as a nn for something longer but I like it by itself too.
I very seriously considered [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Carly[/name_f] for [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. I decided that a.) [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] didn’t go with my sibset b.) my gram is still alive so It’d be weird to use it and c.) my friends daughter is [name_f]Karlie[/name_f].
I know to [name_f]Carly[/name_f]'s that are children…one is Karlynn nn [name_f]Karlie[/name_f] ( age 3)and the other is just [name_f]Carley/name_f.
I like it.
It’s a good name, although it’s not one of my favorites. I would prefer the spelling [name_f]Carlie[/name_f] but I guess that’s just a matter of personal taste. I think it’s been a bit more in the spotlight over the past few years because of the show ‘i[name_f]Carly[/name_f]’.
It’s not terrible but I prefer it as a nickname for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].
