I need opinions on the names [name]Caroline[/name] vs [name]Carolina[/name]. We want to use the nn [name]Callie[/name] either way. My husband thinks [name]Callie[/name] is a stretch with [name]Carolina[/name], but I don’t think so at all. I think it works and if that’s what we want to call her then everyone else will go along with it anyway. I’m also still thinking about [name]Skye[/name] for a middle name. I really like [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Skye[/name] and [name]Carolina[/name] [name]Skye[/name]. I also like [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Carolina[/name] [name]Faith[/name]. Opinions please!
I prefer [name]Caroline[/name], I think it’s because it sounds more English sounding to me, while the spelling with an ‘a’ seems more… I can’t think of the word. I think its just sounds prettier as [name]Caroline[/name].
I don’t think [name]Caroline[/name] is a stretch at all! I’ve seen [name]Violet[/name] with the nickname [name]Ivy[/name], for heaven’s sake!
I like [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Grace[/name] best, it just has such a pretty flow, and sounds so elegant.
But I think all your choices are lovely!
Good luck and Best wishes xxx
I vote for [name]Caroline[/name] I feel that [name]Carolina[/name] is a bit [name]OTT[/name] but it is a fun nn. Sometimes my brother would call me [name]Carolina[/name] in a dramatic kind of voice. I vote [name]Skye[/name] because it is my gdaughter’s name.

[name]Both[/name] are incredibly beautiful, maybe you should match it with your ln. I aso vote [name]Skye[/name] for the mn.
I love [name]Caroline[/name] - [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is one of my favorite combinations!
Are you pronouncing [name]Carolina[/name] as Care-oh-line-uh or Care-oh-leen-uh? Personally, I think [name]Carolina[/name] [name]Skye[/name] is quite beautiful, and definitely do not think [name]Callie[/name] as a nn is a stretch!
I don’t think [name]Callie[/name] is a stretch! I know two different women named [name]Caroline[/name] who go by [name]Callie[/name]. I like [name]Caroline[/name] a lot more than [name]Carolina[/name]. [name]Carolina[/name] is a lot like the name [name]Montana[/name] to me, and I’m not a big fan of place names on people.
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Skye[/name] is beautiful!!
I prefer [name]Caroline[/name] unless [name]Carolina[/name] (leena) is the standard form in your culture. Not [name]Carolina[/name] like north or south.
I would not pronounce the name either of these ways. I say [name]Ca[/name] row LEEN [name]AH[/name] (short ‘a’ as in cat). I would be most upset if someone called my care oh line.

I think [name]Carolina[/name] [name]Skye[/name] kind of sounds like a book or movie name… I think it might be because of [name]Nora[/name] [name]Roberts[/name] novel [name]Montana[/name] [name]Sky[/name]. Also I grew up in South [name]Carolina[/name] so for me it will always just be a place name, an amazing one though. After all that, I think [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Skye[/name] is beautiful and any girl would be so happy with that name and [name]Callie[/name] as a nickname is gorgeous!
Good [name]Luck[/name]
I don’t think [name]Callie[/name] is that big of a stretch. It makes perfect sense for [name]Caroline/name. I love [name]Carolina[/name], pronounced like the State. I think of a beautiful Southern [name]Belle[/name]. [name]Carolina[/name] [name]Skye[/name] is sweet.
[name]Both[/name] are gorgeous and [name]Callie[/name] works for both. I’m biased towards [name]Carolina[/name] (pronounced [name]Caroleena[/name]) because that’s my youngest daughter’s name, nn [name]Caro[/name]. However, the name that works best with your last name is the better choice. In our case, we have an Italian last name and live outside of the US for now, so the leena pronunciation made more sense.
I absolutely love [name]Carolina[/name]! Some days, it’s a bit too exotic for me, but I love how sweet and princessy and unexpected it is. [name]Carolina[/name] [name]Skye[/name], nn [name]Callie[/name], would be adorable. I think [name]Carolina[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is my favorite in general, but all your combos are lovely!
Good luck!
