Caroline or Charles?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] (girl) or [name_m]Charles[/name_m] nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] (boy)? Although they’re different genders I feel like they’re too similar to use both names, so I only want to keep one on my list. Which do you like better and why?

Caroline! Easily. It’s one of those perfect classics that never gets old for me, and it calls to mind Ma Ingalls in the Little House books, which is such a sweet association. I just adore [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

Caroline for sure!

Another vote here for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

Caroline! Charming and grand

I would choose [name_m]Charles[/name_m]. I think it’s a timeless classic.

Charles nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] would be my pick, just because it’s more my style. I love the elegant, stately feel I get from him.

Caroline is pretty as well, I just don’t like it as much.

I personally prefer [name_m]Charles[/name_m].

I like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] better.

Both feel quite dates to me, but I prefer [name_m]Charles[/name_m] nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u].
That said, while [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is a feminine form of [name_m]Charles[/name_m], I dont really think the two names are that similar. Both names could be used in a sibset, and just sound like any other subsets with the same first letter (except more different, due to the different starting sound). The shared meaning could be cute of you just had two children, or b/g twins

Caroline is beautiful whereas I’ve never been a fan of [name_m]Charles[/name_m].

Caroline is so pretty! [name_m]Charles[/name_m] feels a little dated and stuffy to me.

Caroline! A beautiful classic, never overexposed.

I love [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] but I don’t like [name_m]Charles[/name_m]

[name_m]Charles[/name_m] nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], easily! For one very silly reason lol: [name_m]Charles[/name_m] Bingley is adorably wonderful, but [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] Bingley is a nightmare.

I wish I liked [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] because I LOVE [name_f]Cara[/name_f], but in this case, I’d be [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] all the way.

Good luck!

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]!

I prefer [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. To me it feels classic and royal, without being overly common. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] but the alternative nickname [name_f]Callie[/name_f] is very cute.

Charles just sounds a bit too old-fashioned to me, while [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] (as an independent name) is incredibly popular where I live.

I prefer [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]!

OMG, I had never thought of [name_f]Callie[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. That’s a great idea!
