Caroline or Elisabeth

Help me choose one. Love them both, but if I had to choose only one… which one would you choose?

*specifically Elisabeth with an ‘s’ - nn Lisi or Sisi if that helps at all - Caroline nn Coco or Carys or Lily*

so hard, but i think i have to say [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. :sunflower:

especially this spelling, it is beautiful! [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] as a first and middle would also be very pretty! :white_heart:

Oh that is beautiful, thank you. It’s tough, bc it means giving up using [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] as a first name. But I love the way [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] looks and sounds so much.

Such a hard choice…Elizabeth is a favourite of mine and would win over [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], but personally one of the things I love about it is the z! With softer, lovely [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] it becomes a tighter race. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] ‘Coco’ is very elegant (I also love [name_f]Caro[/name_f]) and might just clinch it!

Agree [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] sounds dreamy!

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]! I love its sweet, sunny vibe.

I love your nicknames!!!

I think if I had to choose one, I would pick [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] “Lisi/Sisi” is so adorable, but [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] has this rosy strength to it.

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is beautiful — the s spelling is so pretty, and you have lots of gorgeous nicknames to choose from.

However, my vote goes to [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]! [name_m]Classic[/name_m] but a little less expected, and equal parts elegant and spirited.

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]! [name_m]The[/name_m] s adds some sweetness and gracefulness, and your nicknames are pretty!

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]? I think they’d be pretty as a first and middle name both ways and are both lovely names, but if I had to pick only one, I vote [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

Ooh this is hard!

I love both names [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is beautiful elegant, charming, romantic and visually pleasing with a European flair. I do prefer the zippy feel of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] my daughter is [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and I absolutely love her middle name I was very keen for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] to be her first name. I do prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] for similar reasons too @persephonescrown however [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is gorgeous so beautiful.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is such a lovely warm summery name she feels upbeat with a southern [name_f]Belle[/name_f] flair. I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] would be unexpected choice to my [name_f]British[/name_f] ears which makes her refreshing. I like the nickname options too. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is also sentimental for me which is part of the appeal.

I think I am more drawn to [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] upfront with the combination [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] being ever so dreamy :two_hearts:

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Carys[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] a little more – strong and elegant, classic and lovely – with plenty of nickname options. [name_f]Lisi[/name_f] is sweet, and I’ve known an Eli(z)abeth nn [name_f]Lili[/name_f] too

I’ve always liked [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]

I prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] to [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] but I do like [name_f]Carys[/name_f] a lot and I don’t like [name_f]Lisi[/name_f] (too hissy and soft for me).

I like [name_f]Sisi[/name_f] though & you could also use [name_f]Lily[/name_f] for [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] (and all the other options, [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Bess[/name_f] etc).

So overall, prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] but if choosing on nicknames, very drawn to [name_f]Carys[/name_f] (I’d personally pick [name_f]Carys[/name_f] as a standalone over [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], it also precludes [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] which I’d not keen on).

Such a hard choice, they’re both gorgeous!

Today I think I’m favoring the strength & zippy nicknames of [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] “Coco / Carys” … but [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] & [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] would make such a sweet sister set!

Oh, [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] every day! Such a stunner, and a true timeless classic! [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is lovely as well, but sounds a bit harsh with a Texan accent. Then there’s “Sweet Caroline.”

I prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], personally! I adore her perfect balance of elegance and sweetness, and your preferred nicknames further reinforce this image. :blossom:

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is objectively a great classic too, just less my cup of tea.
