Cas- name suggestions?

What [name_m]Cas[/name_m]- starting names would suit a brother of [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]? We like almost all of them so some help in choosing would be greatly appreciated!
The ones we like are below:

[name_m]Cassius[/name_m]
[name_m]Castor[/name_m]
[name_m]Cassian[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]

However, we’re also not sure if we should pronounce them as [name_m]Cas[/name_m] or [name_m]Cash[/name_m]? Please choose your favorites or suggest new ones!

[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is my favourite name, so he’s definitely my favourite [name_m]Cas[/name_m]- name. I prefer [name_m]Cas[/name_m]- over [name_m]Cash[/name_m], but either way seems to be valid, so I’d go with whichever you like. The only other suggestion I can think of is [name_m]Castiel[/name_m].

I love [name_m]Castor[/name_m], [name_m]Cassian[/name_m], and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] (favorite being [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]). I believe only [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] and [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] are pronounced as cash but since [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars [name_m]Rogue[/name_m] One has come out [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] has been pronounced as [name_m]Cas[/name_m]-ian (which I prefer).

Hey, I just looked through your signature and, I really like [name_m]Casimir[/name_m]! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it can fit in with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]?

I think it makes a good fit with them. It is pronounced as Caz-meer or Caz-ee-meer though so I’m not sure if it totally fits with the [name_m]Cas[/name_m] names you were looking for (which is why I didn’t suggest it). You could still use [name_m]Cas[/name_m] as a nickname though.

I love [name_m]Casimir[/name_m] and also [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. I think any of these 3 would work with the siblings.

I’d go with [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] nn [name_m]Cas[/name_m]. My second choice would be [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. ( I actually prefer this, but it has the same ending as [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]…). My least favorite on your list is [name_m]Castor[/name_m]…that’s a type of oil and all I can think of.

I also love the prior suggestion of [name_m]Castiel[/name_m].

I absolutely love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and [name_m]Cassian[/name_m], and I also really like [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] and [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] and [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] should be pronounced as cash but I hate that pronounciation, and think the cass-ee ones are much nicer.

I would suggest [name_m]Casimir[/name_m]. I also think [name_m]Caius[/name_m] could go by [name_m]Cas[/name_m], though its not strongly a cas name.

You might also consider [name_u]Cassio[/name_u] and [name_m]Cassiel[/name_m]. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Cas[/name_m] names. But I really don’t like the “[name_m]Cash[/name_m]” pronunciations. For [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] and [name_m]Cassian[/name_m] there is no “correct” pronunciation. You can say [name_m]Cash[/name_m]-us or [name_u]Cass[/name_u]-ee-us, [name_m]Cash[/name_m]-an, or [name_u]Cass[/name_u]-ee-an, but I prefer the latter in both cases, a thousand times over. And I adore the nickname [name_m]Cas[/name_m] on a boy.

Of all the [name_m]Cas[/name_m] names my favorites are [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and [name_m]Castiel[/name_m]. [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] means “shield of God” and comes from the name [name_m]Cassiel[/name_m], which is also worth considering. However, personally, I think the t in [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] gives it a much stronger sound.

I love [name_m]Cas[/name_m]- names, especially [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] and [name_m]Casper[/name_m]. I’m slowly warming up to the “cash-us” pronunciation of [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] even though I’ve always said “cass-ee-us” but I think either way you say it, [name_u]Cass[/name_u] works as a nickname. ([name_m]Cassian[/name_m] I still think sounds better as “cass-ee-an” than “cash-an.”)

A few others I like are [name_m]Casimir[/name_m] (nickname [name_u]Cass[/name_u] still works even though it’s more of a “caz” sound) and [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u].

Oh, I also really like Cassel. I’ve never seen it as a first name, except in a book, but I think it works.
