First reaction is Meh. I live in a large west coast city and there have been multiple cash’s in all my children’s grades. More cash’s than there are jacks.
Eh. I used to like it, but I’ve grown to find it very lackluster. I don’t find it cool or edgy. Besides, I know a few boys by this name and the number of currency jokes they endur has turned even their parents against liking the name.
Not sure what else it could be short for. I guess another C name, like [name_m]Charles[/name_m], but that would be a stretch.
It just makes me think of the word cash, as in money, which makes it sound kind of tacky to my ears
However, I think it would be cute as a nickname to [name_m]Cassius[/name_m], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Cassian[/name_m], [name_m]Casper[/name_m]/[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] or something like that
I think it’s way too tacky and I agree with the others that [name_m]Cassian[/name_m]/[name_m]Casper[/name_m]/[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] are better options. I think you could even get away with the name [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], nn [name_m]Cash[/name_m].
