Cash

Hello all,

Still working on our list for [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Boy. I’m really into [name_m]Cash[/name_m] at the moment. Thoughts? Cool or tacky?

Also, what names might work to get [name_m]Cash[/name_m] as a nickname? (Other than [name_m]Cassius[/name_m]).

Thanks!

First reaction is Meh. I live in a large west coast city and there have been multiple cash’s in all my children’s grades. More cash’s than there are jacks.

Eh. I used to like it, but I’ve grown to find it very lackluster. I don’t find it cool or edgy. Besides, I know a few boys by this name and the number of currency jokes they endur has turned even their parents against liking the name.

Not sure what else it could be short for. I guess another C name, like [name_m]Charles[/name_m], but that would be a stretch.

It just makes me think of the word cash, as in money, which makes it sound kind of tacky to my ears
However, I think it would be cute as a nickname to [name_m]Cassius[/name_m], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Cassian[/name_m], [name_m]Casper[/name_m]/[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] or something like that

I think it’s way too tacky and I agree with the others that [name_m]Cassian[/name_m]/[name_m]Casper[/name_m]/[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] are better options. I think you could even get away with the name [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], nn [name_m]Cash[/name_m].

I’ve heard [name_m]Cash[/name_m] screeched in one too many twangy Southern accents for me to be able to see the appeal of this. Would not recommend.

I think it’s cool, even though it’s not my usual style.

It’s OK. I prefer [name_m]Nash[/name_m], [name_u]Dash[/name_u] or even [name_u]Ash[/name_u] as a standalone.

[name_m]Cashel[/name_m] or [name_m]Castiel[/name_m], perhaps?

Right away makes me think about money.
I wouldn’t use it.

Tacky. It’s currency.

I really don’t like it.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone,

Thanks for your honest opinions. My husband vetoed it right away and said, “why don’t we just name him mastercard?”

Anyway, I think I’m losing my liking for it now too
