I love [name_m]Casper[/name_m]! And as a mom of a cartoon named kiddo ([name_m]Linus[/name_m])-- [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and [name_m]Casper[/name_m] wouldn’t bother me. Now, two names from the same cartoon and I’d tell you “no way”.
My problem is not with the alliteration of the first and last, its that both of them end in the “er” sound. I just don’t love [name_m]Casper[/name_m] Kibler or [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Carter[/name_u], etc. For me, that would be a deal breaker.
However, if this is the only name you love and can agree on, and the ending sounds don’t phase you, then go on with your bad self!
I love [name_m]Casper[/name_m] as a name! I think the friendly ghost association is something most people can get over relatively quickly, especially since [name_m]Casper[/name_m] the character hasn’t been relevant for a while now.
However, I have to agree with the PP, the similar ending in [name_m]Casper[/name_m] with your last name makes it sounds exaggeratedly cartoonish. If you love [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and can’t bear to part with it, maybe it would work better as a middle?
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_m]Casper[/name_m]; it’s a top contender for us if we have a boy. But I had to vote for the third option - to me, it’s just not great with your surname. I could get behind alliteration OR matching endings OR same rhythm for a first name + last name, but all three makes [name_m]Casper[/name_m] K@rrer a bit too rhymey, in my opinion.
