I love it but I don’t think I could bring myself to use it as a first because of the ghost association, is that your first thought?
What do you think of [name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m]?
Other combo suggestions for [name_m]Casper[/name_m] as a first or middle would be appreciated
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] is a fantastic name! I think the ghost association is dying down. Perhaps my generation would think of the friendly ghost, but probably not even immediately. But our children’s generation will probably not have any real reference of the ghost. The name sounds distinguished, yet on-trend. It makes a great first or middle.
Although I like [name_m]Samson[/name_m], something about those two names together isn’t clicking for me.
I really like it! As a childhood fan of [name_m]Casper[/name_m], I wish he was still well-known, but sadly, as far as I can tell, he is not. I think [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is safe to use.
My younger son’s MN is [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] so I obviously am a fan. I also couldn’t use it as a first name because of the whole ghost thing but I love it as his middle name - and so does he! I prefer the [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] spelling and spelling it this way did help me remove it from the ghost for some reason. [name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is super cool!
I actually like [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and really wish it would shed its “friendly ghost” persona…although I guess we should be glad it was a friendly ghost lol. I don’t know how relevant that association is these days, though…you may not have an issue. Sure, there are movies, but it isn’t like a cartoon is one everyday (or is it?).
Anyhow, I like both [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and [name_m]Samson[/name_m], but they are too S heavy to use in a combo, in my opinion. I like the previous suggestion of [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m]/[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Simon[/name_m]! That one seems to click better than [name_m]Samson[/name_m].
I can’t really think of any other suggestions right now…sorry
[name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is a great combo. [name_m]Casper[/name_m] reminds me of the ghost, but I’m in my mid-thirties. I don’t know if children these days are familiar with the character. [name_m]Casper[/name_m]’s similar to [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], which may help it fit in. There’s also [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] for a similar sound.
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] has been my top choice for a while now. I actually like the ghost association and I’ve already found vintage [name_m]Casper[/name_m] comics to frame for the nursery! It has a soft, sensitive sound but also seems playful. [name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is cute
Some combos I’ve considered:
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] - this was my top choice forever but my friend has a child named [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Obadiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Linus[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Damian[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Ivan[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Friedrich[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Leopold[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Fitzwilliam[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]
I really like [name_m]Casper[/name_m], and actually love the spelling [name_m]Caspar[/name_m].
[name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is great!
[name_m]Marius[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m] ([name_m]Marius[/name_m] [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] was my boy name of choice for a long time)
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Casper[/name_m]
[name_m]Willem[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m]
[name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_m]Casper[/name_m]
I don’t think the association with the ghost is a bad thing. It could be a worse association. I also think of [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Van[/name_u] Dien, the actor.
