Totally unpopular opinion but regardless of gender, I’m naming my first child [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. Gender is sort of an arbitrary construct and everyone’s idea of what makes a “girl” name and what makes a “boy” name varies greatly. Especially for girls, however, there’s a lot of scope/overlap for boy turned girl names.
Asides from Cass/Cassie as a nickname, there could also be Caspie, [name_f]Pia[/name_f], [name_f]Cia[/name_f] etc.
I think it works
. A lot of “typical” boy names are now more common among girls and vice versa (Kelly, [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] etc.) Also, if you like the name it shouldn’t matter. You could do a different spelling to make it “seem” more feminine like Caspienne.
I can’t imagine [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] on a girl. But it is gender neutral (and gender’s complicated anyways), so my opinion doesn’t really matter and I think it’s fine!
Personally I don’t think it works, but that’s just my opinion! There is [name_f]Cassiopeia[/name_f] if that would work?
I don’t like it at all, sorry.
Whoops, this thread is old…
