What are some male cats you’ve known that make good boy names?
OR
What boy names do you think could be nicknamed to something cat-like?

This post made me lol
I don’t know many cats, but the ones I do know are named things like Vegemite, [name_f]Tiki[/name_f] or Cheezel.
Maybe [name_m]Lion[/name_m]? Or [name_m]Garfield[/name_m]? Lol
[name_u]Ari[/name_u] means lion…
um…my male cat’s name is Snicklefritz, so I don’t think I’ll be of much help! I second the idea of [name_m]Garfield[/name_m], maybe [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] nn [name_m]Lion[/name_m]?
What about [name_u]Cato[/name_u]? It contains ‘cat’ and I’ve never heard it on a real person before.
Haha… love the oddness of this request!
The obvious one to me is [name_m]Felix[/name_m], which I love as a human name.
Other ideas:
[name_m]Simba[/name_m]
Aslan
[name_m]Tom[/name_m]
[name_m]Tiger[/name_m]/[name_m]Tige[/name_m]/[name_m]Teague[/name_m]/[name_m]Tadhg[/name_m]/[name_m]Tig[/name_m]
Anything grand and ancient: [name_m]Aristotle[/name_m], [name_m]Cicero[/name_m], [name_u]Cato[/name_u] (seconded), [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m], [name_u]Seneca[/name_u]… I always think cats suit these so well because of their air of superiority
[name_m]Fidelis[/name_m]
[name_u]Salem[/name_u]
Figaro (I actually know a cat called this!)
[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]
[name_m]Azrael[/name_m]
[name_u]Banjo[/name_u]
[name_m]Sylvester[/name_m]
Sphinx
[name_m]Leonard[/name_m] or [name_m]Leopold[/name_m]
[name_m]Percival[/name_m]/[name_u]Percy[/name_u]
The only male cats I ever had were [name_m]Bandit[/name_m], [name_f]Shadow[/name_f], and [name_f]Star[/name_f] (who was named when we thought he was a she, and the name just stuck).
I don’t know very many cats but the male ones I do know are named:
[name_u]Domino[/name_u]
[name_u]Sammy[/name_u]
Houdini
The cats I know are [name_m]Martin[/name_m] and [name_m]Quentin[/name_m].
The most obvious one that springs to mind is: Catkin. Also sometimes spelled as Catken.
My cats were [name_m]Jake[/name_m] and [name_m]Elwood[/name_m] (hence my screenname BluesKittyMama). I’m interested to hear what you settle on.
I have a cat named [name_m]Rocky[/name_m] and know a child named [name_m]Rocco[/name_m]. I have also had male cats named [name_u]Billy[/name_u] and that can definitely be a person!
[name_m]Leander[/name_m] means [name_m]Lion[/name_m] man. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine, so I guess I could use it on a cat.
Thoughts on these?
Sphynx/Sphinx
[name_m]Leander[/name_m]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Jake[/name_m])
[name_u]Cade[/name_u]/[name_u]Kade[/name_u]
[name_m]Leonard[/name_m]
[name_u]Banjo[/name_u]
I like [name_u]Billy[/name_u] but I’m not really a fan of [name_m]William[/name_m], so I was trying to find a good name or name combo to fit that nickname
I also like [name_m]Kipling[/name_m] or Catnip as nicknames but I’m not sure for what exactly.
[name_u]Percy[/name_u] and [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m] sound like something I’d consider
