Just For Curiosity:
As Great as names like Marc, Joan, Gerard, Pol, Montserrat, Ona etc are, I’m more interested in the uncommon. If anyone knows great Catalan names, that are outside the ordinary, I’d love to hear them!
[name_m]Oriol[/name_m] and [name_f]Mireia[/name_f] are ones that come to mind

[name_m]Oriol[/name_m] is one of my guilty pleasures. For me, it’s a “You can’t get more Catalan than that” style name. Don’t think I’ve heard of anybody named that who isn’t Catalan.
As for [name_f]Mireia[/name_f], I can’t say I’d heard of it prior to your comment. It’s a pretty name, with a nice sound. Perhaps not my style, but something about it feels like it could be a [name_u]Berry[/name_u] classic.

I love [name_m]Oriol[/name_m], I feel like currently what you say is true but I feel like it has great potential for crossover into international waters, I would totally use it
[name_f]Mireia[/name_f] is so beautiful and a fun twist away from the ever classic [name_u]Maria[/name_u] esque names but still with a flavour of recognisability I love it

I was recently in [name_f]Barcelona[/name_f] and I came across roads/places containing the names [name_m]Francesc[/name_m], [name_m]Jordi[/name_m], [name_m]Josep[/name_m], [name_m]Martí[/name_m] and [name_u]Pau[/name_u] (Francis, [name_u]George[/name_u], [name_u]Joseph[/name_u], [name_m]Martin[/name_m] and Paul)!

It is the Catalan version of the Spanish [name_f]Remedios[/name_f] (remedy). And I believ its pronounced re-MAY
