I love the name [name_f]Katarina[/name_f]/[name_f]Catarina[/name_f], but I don’t know which spelling is prettiest. I don’t like it spelled [name_f]Caterina[/name_f]/[name_f]Katerina[/name_f], because I know people will pronounce it “[name_f]Kate[/name_f]-ree-na”, and that’s wrong. Either way, nickname is [name_f]Cat[/name_f]/[name_f]Kat[/name_f] and middle name is [name_f]Elise[/name_f].
So just in your opinion, which looks prettier? C or K?
I love [name_f]Catarina[/name_f]! [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] is not as striking for some reason. [name_f]Catarina[/name_f] gives me italian vibes, while [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] gives me eastern european vibes - it depends on which one you prefer.
[name_f]Catarina[/name_f]. I chose the C-spelling because [name_f]Catarina[/name_f] looks much more elegant in my opinion and the C-spelling is historically also kind of Classier.
I prefer [name_f]Katarina[/name_f], but I also prefer [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. I see it as personal preference. I usually interpret the K names as being younger or less traditional than the Cs.
I prefer [name_f]Katarina[/name_f]. I know a girl with that name, and I’ve always found her name to be attractive, while being unique and familiar at the same time. I also don’t like “[name_f]Cat[/name_f]” for a nickname. I much more prefer “[name_f]Kat[/name_f]” as it seems more exotic and attractive.
I prefer [name_f]Katarina[/name_f], mostly because I like [name_f]Kat[/name_f] more than [name_f]Cat[/name_f]. [name_f]Catarina[/name_f] is pretty, but I like [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] better. C and L go better together than C and R, and I like K and R together. Also, the K spelling is gold and violet while the C spelling is more yellow and ivory.
[name_f]Catarina[/name_f], although if correct pronunciation were assured, I would spell it [name_f]Katharina[/name_f]. But out of your two options, I prefer (and love!) [name_f]Catarina[/name_f].
I had the same issue two years ago for my baby girls name - K or C deciding between [name_f]Karina[/name_f] or [name_f]Carina[/name_f]… I ended up choosing with a K’.
I agree that [name_f]Catarina[/name_f] seems more of a classic and also older if that makes sense . Where as [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] feels more fresh and exotic…and European like. I vote for [name_f]Katarina[/name_f].
