Cavan?

What is your opinion on the name [name_m]Cavan[/name_m]?

I prefer [name_m]Cavanaugh[/name_m]. Caven reminds me too much of a cabin.

I’m in the US and I think [name_m]Cavan[/name_m] would have pronunciation issues. I personally am not a fan of [name_m]Cavan[/name_m] because I want my children to have names with one clear pronunciation. It’s the same reason the lovely [name_f]Clara[/name_f] will never work for me.

I like it! It reminds me of trendy names like [name_u]Cove[/name_u]! I think I see it more for a boy however I can’t imagine it getting popular anytime soon however, I like the combos [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Cavan[/name_m] and even [name_m]Cavan[/name_m] [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], I think it works

Makes me think Caravan.

Is it pronounced “[name_m]Cave[/name_m] in”?

I’m pretty sure I would mishear it as [name_m]Kevin[/name_m] or [name_m]Gavin[/name_m]. But it seems like it could be an interesting name

I’m not a fan of how it looks.

I think I’d mishear it as [name_m]Kevin[/name_m] or [name_m]Gavin[/name_m], like [name_f]Elle[/name_f] said. It is an intriguing name though.

It’s an intriguing name

If you live in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] I’d say it’s much too associated with the county. In other countries, I’d say it’s fine, though it might get misheard as [name_m]Kevin[/name_m].

I don’t mind it, but I imagine it how the mom in home alone shouts “[name_m]Kevin[/name_m]!!!”

I knew a Cavin. I think it has a nice sound, but I agree that it would be misheard as [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] or [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] a lot

Never heard of it.

Is it said [name_m]Cave[/name_m]-uhn? Ca-vahn?

It reminds me of craven and cave.
