Thoughts on this name? Also, does it sound ok with a last name similar to [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]? Middle name ideas? I like [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] (a family name) but worry about the S ending.
- [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!
- Meh. Neutral.
- Hate it.

I really like [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] ! I think it’s an underused classic.
I don’t think [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] would work, it’s too L-heavy and S-heavy. I think [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] works as a middle though!
Sorry not a fan although it fits my normal name taste. I think it is because it can be pronounced 2 ways (see-sil, or seh-sil) that it puts me off.
I adore [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] when pronounced the [name_f]English[/name_f] way ‘seh-sill’. Classy, understated and elegant. The more Americanized ‘sea-sul’ I am significantly less keen on, but it still fits well with [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and “[name_m]Lewis[/name_m]”.
Cecil [name_m]Victor[/name_m]?
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]?
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_u]George[/name_u]?
To be honest, [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] kind of fits most middle names I can think of - another reason to like it!
I rather like both pronunciations. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it fits with [name_f]Maren[/name_f] and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] (my dds)? [name_u]Or[/name_u] does it seem odd?
Also, I love your UC.
Maren, [name_f]Lena[/name_f] and [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] go great together actually! Short, sweet and simple, but uncommon and distinctive!
I’m neutral. [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] doesn’t flow well IMO. Too much S.
I love [name_m]Cecil[/name_m]! I’m American and pronounce it seh-sul (like [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] B DeMille). I think it works just fine with a last name like [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]! It would be on my list but I have a last name that starts with ‘s’ so it just runs together. I like it with [name_f]Maren[/name_f] in a sibset!
Cecil [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is so cute!
Cecil [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] is a bit of a tongue twister, with the repeated “s” and “l”, but it could be doable if you really love [name_m]Cecil[/name_m]. [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] doesn’t work though imo - too many "s"s. Maybe [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] or [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]?
Cecil is charming and has a quaint feel. [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] sounds fine
Cecil [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] would sound cool
Cecil [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_u]Timothy[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
I’ve been thinking a lot about [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] today…I hadn’t thought of pairing it with [name_m]Cecil[/name_m]. Thank you!
I really like [name_m]Cecil[/name_m]. The only thing that puts me off a bit is the meaning. I love the sound though.
