Challenge For Even The Most Seasoned!

So, we are back to the drawing board! My husband doesn’t really want to use [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] as a first name and I don’t really want to use [name_m]Merrick[/name_m] as a first name. This morning I saw a post about [name_m]Will[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and I absolutely just melted. These are the kind of names I am so in love with!!! Classic, strong, sweet boys names! However I might get bored with them just as quickly as my husband over time. So maybe some suggestions of more uncommon names (like [name_m]Merrick[/name_m]) that can get some of these classic nicknames? I love [name_u]Finn[/name_u] (but hubby hates all longer forms).

I am just so stuck! We have looked through so many names, book after book, and I feel like almost every name on this website, and we can’t agree on any boys names that we just really both love! Some we both like but not love are [name_u]Kade[/name_u], [name_m]Kier[/name_m], [name_m]Fisher[/name_m], and [name_m]Declan[/name_m]. My husband I think likes hard k sounds. And I like the classic side of these names!

We have both seen so much, we would appreciate the longest list of names you can come up with that you think we may possibly like!

Thanks!

We had [name_m]Liev[/name_m] on our list too a long time ago which I forgot about. I like [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] but not sure about [name_u]Sam[/name_u]. [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] is on our possible list too. I like many of the others but hubby has vetoed most of them before!

Thank you for all your wonderful help- you guys are awesome! My husband is just so picky!!

I think our front runner for boys names (aka the only one we both really like at this point) is [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]. [name_m]John[/name_m] honors my dad. [name_m]Callen[/name_m] is classic sounding (esp nn cal) but its new on the scene in the US. I’m going to keep searching for something we might like more, but I sure am glad we agreed on at least one name!

[name_m]Giacomo[/name_m]…nn jack

Make a rule: for every name he vetoes he has to provide an alternative- otherwise he has all the power and ultimately it won’t be a joint decision, it’ll be you bowing to something he doesn’t mind. X

What about [name_m]Erik[/name_m]? Or [name_m]Alarik[/name_m]?

[name_m]Henrik[/name_m]
[name_m]Baxter[/name_m]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_m]Callum[/name_m]
[name_m]Brooks[/name_m] – a current crush of mine
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] – maybe you could use a middle that begins with “n” or has an “n” sound in it and extract “[name_u]Finn[/name_u]”?
[name_m]Hank[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Kurt[/name_m]
[name_m]Keith[/name_m]
Krik
[name_m]Clark[/name_m]
[name_m]Klaus[/name_m]
[name_m]Lennox[/name_m]
[name_m]Luka[/name_m]/[name_m]Lukas[/name_m]
[name_m]Marko[/name_m]/[name_m]Markus[/name_m]/[name_m]Marcus[/name_m]/[name_m]Mark[/name_m]
[name_u]Parker[/name_u]
[name_m]Scott[/name_m]
[name_m]Ruskin[/name_m]
[name_m]Tucker[/name_m]
[name_m]Viktor[/name_m]/[name_m]Victor[/name_m]

I went with the “k” sound since it seems like your husband (and you?) like that well enough.
