[name_m]General[/name_m] Description: [name_m]Butch[/name_m] resides in a world where humans do not exist and dogs and cats are the ones to evolve (walk around on hind legs, have thumbs, wear clothes, drive cars, etc.). He is a large Daniff, standing 7 feet, 1 1/2 inches tall and weighing around 261 pounds. His fur is short and mostly sandy colored, though his ears and snout are black. There are some white patches on his ears and snout. His nose is black. His ears are big and floppy. He wears mostly black clothes, though he’ll do what he can to wear brighter colors. He most likely wears combat boots. [name_m]Butch[/name_m] looks quite intimidating because of his size and reputation, but he has a puppy face, a face that doesn’t look like it should be on a criminal.
Biography: [name_m]Butch[/name_m] was born on [name_u]October[/name_u] 31st, 1989, to a young Great [name_u]Dane[/name_u] named [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] “Sam” [name_u]Madison[/name_u]. He was the second born of twins, the first born being his brother [name_u]Devon[/name_u] “Spike” [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] [name_u]Madison[/name_u]. [name_u]Sam[/name_u] was only 18 and very unprepared to be a mother. The father of the boys, an [name_f]English[/name_f] Mastiff named [name_u]Devon[/name_u] “Duke” [name_u]Vern[/name_u], had left their mother because he didn’t want to be a father. He was a 22 year old high school dropout. With their parents unfit to raise them, the boys ended up in the custody of their maternal grandmother, a Great [name_u]Dane[/name_u] named [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u]. She was 55 when they were born and already had eyesight problems and arthritis in her knees. Still, though, she tried to give the boys a good childhood. They loved her, [name_m]Butch[/name_m] especially, and she loved them. Unfortunately, it was clear from an early age that something was wrong with [name_u]Devon[/name_u] [name_m]Jr[/name_m]. (who wouldn’t go by [name_m]Spike[/name_m] until he was 13). He loved seeing people cry and destroyed everything he could get his hands on. Worse, one of his favorite hobbies was making other kids cry. [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] (who would someday be called Butch) didn’t and, in the early years, would tell him to stop. This spark of individuality in him died when the boys began going to school. [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] was scared and stuck close to his brother, who he saw as incredibly brave. [name_u]Devon[/name_u] promised to protect him as long as he did whatever he said. Together, the boys became the most feared dogs among other kids. One day, when the boys were in second grade, [name_u]Devon[/name_u] got sick and was absent from school for an entire six days. [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] was lost, alone, and scared without his brother. Most other kids at this point steered clear of him. At recess the first day, he sat beneath a tree and cried. To the surprise of everyone, a third grader, a [name_m]Pharaoh[/name_m] Hound named [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] [name_u]Cohen[/name_u], came over to as if [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_u]Madison[/name_u] was alright. And thus began the unlikely friendship of the two. [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] saw [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] for the lost puppy he was and wanted to help. However, [name_u]Devon[/name_u] did not like this at all. He did everything he could to keep [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] away from his new friend. He failed and the bond between the two grew stronger. Meanwhile, though, Devon’s soul was growing darker and [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] was growing more obedient of him. Their grandmother refused to realize that what was going wrong with the two boys was more than just normal childhood drama. Plus, her health was declining rapidly with the years. One day, when the boys were 13 (but in sixth grade because they were held back), [name_u]Devon[/name_u] got the idea to begin going by the nickname of [name_m]Spike[/name_m]. He wanted to be feared entirely and thought [name_m]Spike[/name_m] sounded tougher. He also renamed [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], who would become known as [name_m]Butch[/name_m] to all except for their grandmother and [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m]. When the boys were 16, their grandmother passed away at age 71. [name_m]Spike[/name_m] proceeded to drop out of school and [name_m]Butch[/name_m], despite [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] urging him to stay, soon followed. Because the boys were minors, CPS wanted to put them into foster care. But, first they had to catch them, which proved difficult. [name_m]Spike[/name_m] and [name_m]Butch[/name_m] had made an alliance with the notorious [name_u]Liam[/name_u] [name_m]Sanford[/name_m], who police had been trying to find guilty for years. [name_m]Sanford[/name_m] was hiding the boys in exchange for their help with his schemes. They called him “Boss”. During this time, [name_m]Butch[/name_m] snuck away from his brother to visit [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m], who urged him to quit the path he was headed on before it was too late. [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] promised to help him and [name_m]Butch[/name_m] almost agreed. But then [name_m]Spike[/name_m] found out. [name_m]Spike[/name_m] actually hated [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] and wanted him out of the way. He told this to him right in front of [name_m]Butch[/name_m]. For the first time in a long time, [name_m]Butch[/name_m] stood up to his brother. He tried not to care about who [name_m]Spike[/name_m] hurt, but [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] was his best friend. The brothers got into a fight and [name_m]Spike[/name_m] punched [name_m]Butch[/name_m] in the snout and marched off. This wasn’t the first time [name_m]Butch[/name_m] had been punched in the face, so, though his nose was bleeding, he didn’t seem too fazed. [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m], on the other hand, continued to beg that he get away from [name_m]Spike[/name_m]. But [name_m]Butch[/name_m] was too afraid now. Afraid of life without his brother, afraid of his brother in general. He continued to visit his friend, though. [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] would always tell him that he saw good in him, that [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_u]Madison[/name_u] and [name_m]Butch[/name_m] [name_u]Madison[/name_u] were different dogs. [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] was who he was around him. [name_m]Butch[/name_m] was who [name_m]Spike[/name_m] wanted him to be. Should [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] have talked to authorities? Yes. And he did, anonymously, about [name_m]Spike[/name_m]. But not [name_m]Butch[/name_m]. Because of many reasons. Still, though, the police were never able to catch either brother. [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] graduated school and opened a deli, which soon became where [name_m]Butch[/name_m] spent his free time. [name_m]Spike[/name_m] was not allowed in the deli and [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m], though smaller than him, would always chase him away. Eventually, [name_m]Spike[/name_m] “found” (likely stole) a bright red convertible sports car that he called [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Red[/name_u]. This car was to him what [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] was to [name_m]Butch[/name_m]. So, one day, the brothers had parked in an overgrown parking lot and were talking about crimes they were planning to commit (Spike was boss now, since [name_u]Liam[/name_u] [name_m]Sanford[/name_m] had been arrested), when a young mutt named [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_m]Sanford[/name_m] (see her biography above) nearly ran into the car and still ended up scratching it. [name_m]Spike[/name_m] was furious and [name_m]Butch[/name_m] forced himself to be too. The brothers threatened to kill [name_f]Emma[/name_f] if she didn’t pay them a large sum of money. And they nearly went through with the threat, but were stopped by Emma’s older brother, [name_u]Troy[/name_u], and his friends. The brothers were then arrested and sentenced to a very long time in prison. Over the next almost two years, [name_m]Spike[/name_m] plotted to escape. [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] didn’t visit [name_m]Butch[/name_m] during this time and [name_m]Butch[/name_m] was afraid that something had happened to his friend. Eventually, the brothers managed to escape prison. [name_m]Spike[/name_m] wanted revenge on [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_m]Sanford[/name_m] and [name_m]Butch[/name_m] wanted to make sure [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] was okay. After escaping prison, they returned to a house they had previously lived in and where a former girlfriend of Spike’s lived. Her name was [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Lu[/name_u] [name_m]Hadyn[/name_m] and she was terrified of [name_m]Spike[/name_m] because he threatened to hurt her and her family if she left him. This is where the brothers laid low while [name_m]Spike[/name_m] plotted revenge. During this time, [name_m]Butch[/name_m] did visit [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] a few times. [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] was torn as to whether or not to call the police. Ultimately, once again, he did to give them tips on where [name_m]Spike[/name_m] might be based on what [name_m]Butch[/name_m] had told him. Eventually, [name_m]Spike[/name_m] and [name_m]Butch[/name_m] caught [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and a new friend of hers, [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] [name_u]Layne[/name_u], alone in an alleyway. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] were able to get away from them and jump in Spike’s car (which had been stashed in a garage and the brothers had been driving). The two sped away, stopping only to pick up another friend, a sphinx cat named [name_m]Chuck[/name_m], who they almost ran over. [name_m]Spike[/name_m] and [name_m]Butch[/name_m] in turn stole another vehicle and chased them out into the woods. The two cars got close enough that [name_m]Spike[/name_m] (who was driving) was able to bump the other car, causing [name_m]Cassius[/name_m], who was driving that car, to lose control and crash into a tree. Luckily, everyone was okay, but [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Red[/name_u] (the car that got slammed into a tree) was pretty damaged. From here, [name_m]Spike[/name_m] told [name_m]Butch[/name_m] that his revenge was secured. But, [name_m]Chuck[/name_m] had the idea to try and separate the brothers. He ran into the forest and [name_m]Spike[/name_m] told [name_m]Butch[/name_m] to catch him. [name_m]Butch[/name_m] obeyed, as usual. What followed was a game of cat and giant mouse, with [name_m]Chuck[/name_m] climbing high into trees that [name_m]Butch[/name_m] was too heavy for and perching on a branch for a while, his eyes glowing, trying to get [name_m]Butch[/name_m] to believe that cats had magical powers. [name_m]Chuck[/name_m] had done research on the [name_u]Madison[/name_u] Brothers (more on that when I do his biography) and knew both [name_m]Spike[/name_m] and Butch’s real names. He called [name_m]Butch[/name_m] [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and [name_m]Spike[/name_m] [name_u]Devon[/name_u], which freaked [name_m]Butch[/name_m] out because he actually believed that cats had magical powers. This ended with [name_m]Butch[/name_m] begging [name_m]Chuck[/name_m] to stop scaring him and whimpering like a puppy because he was actually terrified. [name_m]Chuck[/name_m] was able to herd [name_m]Butch[/name_m] out of the woods and back to the road, where police were waiting. They had been called by [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Lu[/name_u], who finally decided to betray [name_m]Spike[/name_m]. Speaking of [name_m]Spike[/name_m], he was nowhere in sight. [name_m]Butch[/name_m] asked about his brother and was told that [name_m]Spike[/name_m] had fallen into a deep sinkhole to his death. At this point, I hope to have readers feeling sorry for [name_m]Butch[/name_m] because, no matter how terrible [name_m]Spike[/name_m] was, the news that he had died caused [name_m]Butch[/name_m] to burst into tears. [name_m]Butch[/name_m] was taken back to jail and given a long sentence. However, this time [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] did come to visit and urged him to be a good dog and cooperate with the police. [name_m]Butch[/name_m], having no one else to follow, listened. Without Spike’s influence, he became quite a sweet dog, a model inmate who was always on his best behavior. He dropped the name [name_m]Butch[/name_m], having never truly liked it anyway, and went back to being called [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]. Eventually, because of his new behavior, his sentence was lessened, as was his bail. After about 20-30 years, he was released. [name_m]Yusuf[/name_m] had never stopped visiting him and, after [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] was released, invited him to live with him. Of course, [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] agreed. I believe that eventually the two may marry, but, either way, they both live happily together for the rest of their lives. A fitting end to the (long) story of [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_u]Madison[/name_u].
