Oh cool! I also do revivals/retellings (mostly retellings), so I’ll start out with classics retold with Equines post Great Magic Explosion (the end of the world as we know it).
I’m not great at describing appearances, so I’m going to add a picture I found online for the characters that I can. These pictures aren’t actually the character, but they usually had some hand in developing the actual character’s appearance.

The Eligible Trilogy follows the same general idea as Pride And Prejudice (especially in the first book), with an Oliver Twist retelling/sequel in the third book

Elowen

Elowen is the wife of Alistair and the mother of Janeska, Elisavet, Maretha, Katalaya, and Lysithea. She plays the role of Mrs. Bennett and carries a lot of her counterpart’s personality traits. She’s often overbearing, gets flustered easily, and is obsessed with finding her daughters suitable matches. That being said, she has only the best intentions, though she is often oblivious to how her daughters actually feel.

Alistair

The husband of Elowen and leader of the Fairbairn Meadow Herd, Alistair is laid back and fairly patient. He loves his five daughters (Elisavet is his favorite, but only by a tiny bit) and his wife, though he loves to make her flustered. He plays the role of Mr. Bennett. Unlike Elowen, he is not obsessed with finding his daughters suitable matches. He wants them to be happy and is the more approachable parent.

Janeska

The eldest daughter of Elowen and Alistair, Janeska is shy, gentle, soft-spoken, and kind. She is considered by many to be the prettiest of the sisters, but she is far from conceited. She wants to find true love, not just marry whoever. And she plays the role of Jane Bennett.

Elisavet

The second born daughter of Elowen and Alistair. She is smart and friendly, with a sarcastic streak. She also wants to marry for love, although marriage isn’t her top priority at all. She can be slow to forgive if she is offended, but is quick to offer compassion to those that need it. She plays the role of Lizzie Bennett.

Maretha

The middle sister. Often overlooked, she has a sharp mind and is eager to learn. Unfortunately, being a mare (woman) in a society where mares, especially higher society ones, are just supposed to marry, she is brushed aside when she tries to talk about her interests. She has a huge sarcastic streak and couldn’t care less about stallions and marriage. She just wants to be respected and find adventure. She is based off of Mary Bennett.

Katalaya

The second youngest sister, though she is often mistaken for the youngest. She is overshadowed by her sisters and isn’t of marrying age yet, therefore Elowen pays her less attention. She is a bit clumsy and awkward when in social situations. She’s quiet and shy and follows her younger sister’s lead everywhere, which has led to her being dubbed a troublemaker. She is based off of Kitty Bennett.

Lysithea

The youngest sister, Lysithea is also the most rebellious. Because she is too young for marriage and frankly doesn’t have much interest in it, she is not near as much of a flirt as her counterpart, Lydia Bennett. However, that is replaced with an obsession with horses (she is a pegasus). She is convinced that being part of a horse herd would be great. She is smart, but doesn’t look before she leaps, and is often somewhat rude and defiant.

Fiero

The very young, but esteemed, leader of the Penn Mountain Herd. His pride often blurs his decisions, as he needs to look like he’s in control and like he knows what he’s doing. In reality, he is extremely insecure and a bit socially awkward. He means well, but can come across as aloof and conceited. His counterpart is Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy.

Caledon

The new leader of the Neyland Forest Herd, Caledon is naturally good-natured and extremely charming. He isn’t judgemental, but is a bit gullible. His sister, Carlyta, has his full trust and he will listen to her if no one is there to contradict what she says. His counterpart is Charles Bingley.

Caledon’s older sister. She is controlling, possessive, and always sour. She hates almost everyone, except her brother, her sister, her brother-in-law, and [name_m]Fiero[/name_m]. She especially hated [name_f]Elisavet[/name_f] because it’s clear [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] eventually has a crush on her. [name_f]Carlyta[/name_f] wants [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] for herself, though he shows no interest in her. [name_f]Carlyta[/name_f] is pompous, but clever, and can be a dangerous enemy. Her counterpart is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] Bingley.

The adopted brother of [name_m]Fiero[/name_m]. He was born a pegasus, but, since the rest of the family were alicorns, he was made one too. The parents passed away when both [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] and [name_m]Geronimo[/name_m] were still hardly more than colts, leaving [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] suddenly with a ton of responsibilities. [name_m]Geronimo[/name_m], free from responsibility, began hanging out with a crowd of horses. They tricked him into giving up his wings and horn. He went to [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] for help, but was met with scolding. The two avoid each other and haven’t spoken in a long time. But, [name_m]Geronimo[/name_m] is tenacious and somewhat arrogant, so he’s always looking for ways to become an alicorn again. Unfortunately, he is also reckless. His counterpart is [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Wickham[/name_m].

[name_m]Filmore[/name_m]

Fiero’s cousin, closest friend, and confidant. [name_m]Filmore[/name_m] is good-natured and a natural leader. He helps lead the [name_m]Penn[/name_m] [name_m]Mountain[/name_m] Herd, though he never takes any credit for its success. Officially, he leads a flight squadron, which is meant to fight off any threats. He want what’s best for those he loves. His counterpart is [name_m]Colonel[/name_m] [name_m]Fitzwilliam[/name_m].

[name_f]Anahera[/name_f]

The daughter of [name_f]Caitrona[/name_f], she was born sickly and is smaller than other mares her age. Her wings are also a bit undersized and she’s been told her whole life that she’ll never fly. She doesn’t talk much at first and, when she does, she seems lazy and spoiled. This is what she does to try and make up for her perceived flaws— she is extremely insecure and truly believes that she is worthless and can’t do anything. Underneath her mask, she is curious and kind and has an adventurous streak, though its been stomped down by her mother. She blossoms under the friendship of [name_f]Elisavet[/name_f] and [name_f]Maretha[/name_f], becoming braver and learning to believe in herself more. Her counterpart is [name_f]Anne[/name_f] de Bourgh.

[name_f]Caitrona[/name_f]

Leader of the [name_m]Eagle[/name_m] [name_m]Peak[/name_m] Herd and mother of [name_f]Anahera[/name_f], [name_f]Caitrona[/name_f] has a very inflated view of her own self image. She expects everything to be exactly the way she wants ALL of the time. She is manipulative and/or nasty to almost everyone she knows, including her own daughter. She can be violent if someone crosses her and WILL NOT let anything go. She can be dangerously clever and will go to any lengths to get what she wants. She is based off of [name_f]Lady[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] de Bourgh.

[name_m]Coalton[/name_m]

A somewhat dull alicorn who DOES NOT know how to keep his mouth shut. He practically worships [name_f]Caitrona[/name_f] and believes that she can do no wrong. This is partially because any power he has socially, as well as his status as an alicorn, comes from her. [name_m]Coalton[/name_m] is one of the only Equines that [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] absolutely can’t stand. Though he does change for the better during book 2. His counterpart is [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_f]Collins[/name_f].

[name_f]Charmisa[/name_f]

Elisavet’s best friend, [name_f]Charmisa[/name_f] is the daughter of Alistair’s second in command, [name_m]Luan[/name_m]. She is a lot like [name_f]Elisavet[/name_f], though more gullible. Also, she initially believes that, if an esteemed stallion proposes to you, you don’t say no. Which is how she ends up married to [name_m]Coalton[/name_m]. Her counterpart is [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]. However, unlike her counterpart, she is an only child.

[name_f]Gelsomina[/name_f]

Fiero’s younger sister, she was almost tricked by [name_m]Geronimo[/name_m] into giving up her wings and horn when she was younger. Because of this, and other factors, [name_m]Fiero[/name_m] and [name_m]Filmore[/name_m] are overprotective (especially Fiero) and shelter her. Despite this, she is a curious young lady who’s a lot wiser than she’s given credit for. It takes her some time to trust new equines, but, when she comes out of her shell, she’s friendly and rather polite. Her counterpart is [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] [name_f]Darcy[/name_f].

Jennalyn

[name_m]An[/name_m] elderly alicorn who practically raised [name_f]Anahera[/name_f]. She is more of a mother to her that [name_f]Caitrona[/name_f] will ever be. She is the only equine who always believed in her, as well.

[name_f]Lolita[/name_f]

Caledon’s other sister, only a year apart in age from [name_f]Carlyta[/name_f]. She is a lot like her brother— good-natured and charming. She’s a minor character, the counterpart of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_m]Hurst[/name_m]. There is no example image for her.

[name_m]Haldor[/name_m]

Lolita’s husband and a minor character. He is quiet and uncomfortable in large crowds. Due to an accident in which he nearly lost his ability to fly, he counts every moment in the sky as a blessing. His marriage to [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] was arranged, but they came to care for each other over time. His counterpart is Mr. [name_m]Hurst[/name_m]. There is no example image for him.

[name_m]Luan[/name_m]

A minor character. Alistair’s second in command and good friend. Father of [name_f]Charmisa[/name_f]. His counterpart is [name_m]Sir[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]. There is no example image for him.

Continuation Of The Eligible Trilogy

[name_m]Jacolbi[/name_m] (aka Twistfire)

A reclusive young stallion with a tortured mind, [name_m]Jacolbi[/name_m] belongs to no herd. He lives in the ruins of an old (pre-Great [name_m]Magic[/name_m] Explosion) building in a forest that is rumored to be haunted. Because of incidents in his past, he believes that he deserves to be alone and that, if word about his involvement in said incidents gets around, everyone who he didn’t think hated him would. In his mind, he is a bad equine and can never be forgiven. So, it’s better to distance himself from everyone. Unfortunately, isolation and guilt make for a terrible combination. [name_m]Jacolbi[/name_m] is starting to lose touch with reality, sometimes genuinely questioning whether or not he is alive or real. Despite what he believes, he’s a very good and kind equine. He is also intelligent and a fast flier. He play the role of an older [name_m]Jack[/name_m] Dawkins (aka The Artful Dodger).

[name_m]Chardin[/name_m] (aka Swift)

A reckless stallion who uses his head more for running into trees than thinking. He too has his regrets, but tries to live in the present. Unfortunately, he’s a joke among the locals due to his carelessness and grammar issues (he has awful grammar). He is a swift runner though and is able to learn. Due to having no real place in the world, he sometimes likes to tell others that he’s done things that aren’t even possible. He’s not arrogant, though, and has a sense of honor. However his manners could use some work. He plays the role of an older [name_m]Charley[/name_m] [name_m]Bates[/name_m].

[name_m]Olimios[/name_m] (aka Cutie Pie)

A short, stout young stallion, hardly more than a colt, but very well-spoken. Looking at him now, you wouldn’t know that he was once a gullible orphan with terrible (or wonderful, depending on how you look at it) luck. He was adopted by the [name_m]Spruce[/name_m] [name_m]Island[/name_m] Herd’s leader, [name_m]Branten[/name_m], and, after a near death experience involving a seemingly crazy equine, lives a calm and quiet life. [name_m]Olimios[/name_m] is extremely warm and forgiving. He harbors no ill feelings toward most other equines. He is intelligent and gentle. The story behind his old nickname (that no one ever really uses anymore) is that he was possibly the cutest little foal on the entire island. He plays the role of an older [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] Twist.

[name_f]Nanine[/name_f]

Thought to be dead, [name_f]Nanine[/name_f] lives near the other end of the island. She stays there in order to protect herself and everyone else from a seemingly crazy equine who tried to kill her once before. Because of that incident, she cannot fly— her wings were badly broken and healed wrong— and, though she is an alicorn, only a jagged stub remains of her horn. It’s a miracle she survived, but then, [name_f]Nanine[/name_f] is strong. She has a will to live that you wouldn’t expect from her. She is calm and somewhat sarcastic and sassy. Her voice is relaxing and she has a slight southern accent. Most every who’s ever known her has liked her, though she actually likes herself more now that she is free from [name_m]Beltrano[/name_m] (the aforementioned seemingly crazy equine). She has a somewhat playful demeanor and thrives in her current environment, though she does occasionally wonder about those she used to know. She plays the role of a [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] who survived.

The son of petty thieves, [name_m]Falconieri[/name_m] grew up that way. He took in orphaned foals and they earned their keep by doing little jobs for him (spying or, mostly, stealing). Despite how bad that sounds, he was trying to help them and genuinely cared for them. To most, he was closest thing to a father they would ever have. [name_m]Falconieri[/name_m] could, unfortunately, be easily manipulated by [name_m]Beltrano[/name_m], who is like his younger brother. Because of this, he would often fail to protect the orphans from Beltrano’s violent rages. For the past nine years, [name_m]Falconieri[/name_m] has been imprisoned for his role as an accomplice to [name_m]Beltrano[/name_m]. There are many things he regrets and many things he wishes had been different. He is not really all that old, but looks much more aged than he actually is. He is also very sick at this point. [name_m]Falconieri[/name_m] is calm, mild, and loyal to those he loves. He plays a similar role to [name_m]Fagin[/name_m].

[name_m]Beltrano[/name_m]

The aforementioned seemingly crazy equine, [name_m]Beltrano[/name_m] is tall, thin, and all black except for a white ring around his front right hoof. He was shunned by his family and almost killed by his mother due to being born without a horn (the family were all esteemed alicorns). From a young age, he had a violent streak. As an older teenager, he managed to gain a horn but the damage— both physical and mental— had already been done. He was not happy. He can never be happy. Instead, he went on a murderous rampage, killing all members of his family (except his mother, who he blinded and left to suffer). He failed to find one of his brothers and, for a time, was distracted by his growing love (yes, he can love) for a mare named [name_f]Melusine[/name_f]. She loved him too and he almost never showed her his violent side. They married, only for her to pass away mere hours after their only child was born. [name_m]Beltrano[/name_m] rejected the newborn colt. He would say it was because his son was not an alicorn (which made sense because [name_f]Melusine[/name_f] was a horse), but it was really mostly his anger at losing his wife. If not for [name_f]Melusine[/name_f] begging him to make sure their son was cared for, [name_m]Beltrano[/name_m] would have left the colt at the mercy of the woods. However, he made a promise to [name_f]Melusine[/name_f]. He couldn’t bring himself to raise his foal, though, because of his grief and because the colt resembled Beltrano’s mother. He instead entrusted the child to his one true friend, [name_m]Falconieri[/name_m]. And, angry and broken as ever, went back to his killing spree. He eventually found his remaining brother and his wife and did away with them. However, he failed to find their colt, who was extremely young at the time. For the years, he hunted the foal and had no success. Until the bright-eyed little one landed right on his doorstep. [name_m]Long[/name_m] story short (too late😆), the foal slipped through his grasp again and [name_m]Beltrano[/name_m] disappeared for a long time. But he was always out there, biding his time until the right moment to strike. He is cruel and cold, with a heart like his coat, black except for a small portion. He plays the role of a [name_m]Bill[/name_m] Sikes who survived.

[name_f]Melusine[/name_f]

A kind and caring mare, she is Beltrano’s deceased wife. All who knew her loved her, she was that way. She never knew much of her husband’s bad side and never would have fathomed the monster he was. If she did, she wouldn’t have married him, though she’d always love him. She would have been a wonderful mother to her son and, in fact, spent the final hours of her life telling him how much she loved him and that she would always be proud of him.
