Character Names

I’m writing a novel based on a fanfiction I wrote a long time ago and I’m pretty sure I’m positive on the names but I would still like some opinions - mostly on the guys’ names and the spellings. So here they are:

Main character: [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] (the meaning star is important)
Her best friend: [name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_m]Banks[/name_m] (f)
The three band members (all boys):
[name_u]Munro[/name_u] [name_m]Rider[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] Arquette
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]

So what do you guys think??

I like them, and what are they like? Also, what is the novel based on? I’d like to know.

The novel is based on a One Direction fanfic I wrote a long time ago. It’s changed quite a bit. The basic plot is that [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] wants to get into film school in [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_m]York[/name_m] because all she wants in life is to be free from the little town she lives in and her family but doesn’t get accepted, so she joins her best friend, [name_f]Noa[/name_f], and her boyfriend’s band on tour for the summer instead. She has a romantic thing with one of the band members and then ends up getting late-acceptance so she leaves and they break up. Then there are a couple twists and it ends up being mostly about how she was looking for a place where she belonged but she already had that place, she just didn’t realize it.

[name_f]Astrid[/name_f] is reserved but still opinionated and very independent. She likes indie music and films, yoga, and traveling.
[name_f]Noa[/name_f] is very lovable, spontaneous, and driven. She’s a writer and also loves indie music and yoga.
[name_u]Munro[/name_u] is the guy that [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] falls in love with. He’s pretty shy but really sweet and creative.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] is [name_f]Noa[/name_f]'s boyfriend. He is really confident (but not cocky) and strong-minded but also very loving.
And [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] (or [name_m]Wes[/name_m]) is the other member. He’s a little arrogant but also spontaneous, creative, and talkative.

The novel sounds interesting, @kels. I think it might sound like a book that a lot of people could read.

I like all of the names, the only one I don’t like is the spelling of [name_u]Munro[/name_u]. I definitely definitely do not like it, much prefer the [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] spelling.

Altogether, [name_m]Jack[/name_m] seems plain in the midst of the other names, imo.

Aside from that, I do like the names and I would be interested in that story!

I agree, I like [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] more than [name_u]Munro[/name_u], but it’s your story and if you have your heart set on it I think it can work for the character. I also agree that [name_m]Jack[/name_m] seems plain in comparison, but a little simplicity is easy on the reader’s eyes after reading a lovey scene between one [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] and [name_u]Munro[/name_u].
