I much prefer the [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] spelling. I also prefer [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] for a boy/man.
I voted for [name_u]Charley[/name_u]. My favorite spelling is the common one [name_u]Charlie[/name_u].
[name_f]Charlee[/name_f] or [name_f]Charleigh[/name_f] are my favourites, but I prefer [name_f]Charleigh[/name_f] as I’ve seen this the most often I love [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] for a girl, no matter how it’s spelled!
[name_u]Charley[/name_u] is too cute
Out of those, [name_u]Charley[/name_u].
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]…
voted [name_f]Charli[/name_f] but like [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] a little more.
the spelling [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], is the one I prefer. The rest look more like [name_f]Carley[/name_f] misspellings.
I would say stick with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] or don’t use it for a girl.
I would also stick with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. I don’t like any of the other spellings near as much.
I would go with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], simple and spelling people would use naturally. I voted [name_f]Charleigh[/name_f], the others are terrible in my opinion, sorry. She would have to spell her name all her life (and I know what it is).
I honestly think it’s best go with the best known, [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. As someone that has an uncommon spelling of a common name, it’s s pain always correcting people!
I picked [name_f]Charli[/name_f] from your list thought. I think it’s safest.
Least favourite is [name_f]Charleigh[/name_f]. [name_m]Way[/name_m] too over the top, to me. Looks like its trying too hard.
I tend to agree. I find the alternate “feminizations” to be very displeasing to the eye. [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is a sweet name for a boy, but it seems cheesy on a girl imo.
[name_u]Charley[/name_u] is my favorite. I’m a bit confused as to why previous posters felt the need to tell you that they feel [name_u]Charley[/name_u] is a boy’s name. Did you ask for opinions on the name itself and then delete that part of your post? Or have some people forgotten that [name_u]Charley[/name_u] can also be a nickname for feminizations of [name_m]Charles[/name_m] such as [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlene[/name_f]?
I am not a fan of unisex names, however if we finalize on the name [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] for a girl it would be after my dad, [name_m]Charles[/name_m]. We do not like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], so were looking at how to make [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] more feminine looking. Thank you all for your opinions, we have had no luck with finding a girls name we love.
I [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] (this spelling) for boy or a girl!!! However, I too dislike [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]/ [name_m]Charles[/name_m].
I have [name_m]Karl[/name_m] “[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]” in my list, so maybe [name_f]Karla[/name_f] or [name_f]Carlotta[/name_f]? Two other ideas: [name_f]Charity[/name_f] nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] (or [name_f]Charity[/name_f] + L middle) and [name_f]Shari[/name_f] (similar to [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], but a variation of [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] which means “princess”).
This is a tough one because they are oddly very different, like they fit into different categories somehow. [name_f]Charli[/name_f] is softer and you’ll always get someone adding an e, always, I like it though, [name_f]Charlee[/name_f] just autocorrected to [name_m]Charles[/name_m] like six times but also I almost want to say [name_f]Charlene[/name_f] which is another name entirely but its just where I go, [name_u]Charley[/name_u] might be your best bet, its very clear compared to [name_f]Charlee[/name_f], which my computer doesn’t want me to write, [name_f]Charleigh[/name_f] I don’t like … I don’t know why, perhaps its just a lot for options LI [name_u]LEE[/name_u] [name_m]LY[/name_m] [name_u]LEIGH[/name_u] like its just more? Not bad just seems like more than necessisary.
What do you think of [name_f]Carlie[/name_f]? [name_f]Carline[/name_f]? [name_f]Carlia[/name_f]? Charlia?
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u] has been a nn for boys for a long time, compared to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], for which it is more recently used. This is why people see it as a boy name. I got used to [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] on a girl, it doesn’t bother me. I think it’s cute!
I like both [name_u]Charley[/name_u] and [name_f]Charli[/name_f]. I think its adorable on a girl.
