Charming C's...

What are your favourite names (boy or girl) that begin with C?

What do you think of the names in my signature?

Thanks!

I love [name_f]Calliope[/name_f], [name_f]Clover[/name_f], and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]! They didn’t make my top 20 C names, but were close!

[name_f]Glad[/name_f] [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] and [name_m]Cedric[/name_m] have another fan, most people seem to think they’re too old fashioned.

Cassiopoeia (GP)

I like [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Cassia[/name_f], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and [name_m]Callahan[/name_m] from your lists!

From your signature I like Caliadne, [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], [name_f]Corliss[/name_f], [name_m]Caradoc[/name_m], [name_m]Casimir[/name_m], [name_m]Casper[/name_m], and [name_m]Cedric[/name_m].

My favourite C names are:
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] (my favourite boys name)

[name_f]Clio[/name_f] (this spelling for the muse connection)
[name_f]Caja[/name_f] ([name_u]Kay[/name_u]-juh)

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

My favorite C name for a boy is [name_m]Colm[/name_m]. I love the gentle nature of it. I also quite like [name_m]Calum[/name_m], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_m]Cillian[/name_m], [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] & [name_u]Casey[/name_u].

My favorite C name. for a girl is [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. It’s so lovely & fun to say. I also really enjoy [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] & [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f].

Here are my thoughts on your signature:

Caliadne-I’m going to guess that this is Cuh-lie-ad-nee? If I’m right, that’s pretty! It reminds me of [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]. It’d be a bit tricky to use in real life, but it’s a neat name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] sort of hard to say.

[name_f]Cambria[/name_f]-I don’t care for this name. No real reason. [name_m]Just[/name_m] don’t like the ‘cam’ sound. I like [name_f]Camille[/name_f] or [name_f]Camilla[/name_f], because it’s more of a ‘cuh’ first syllable. The ‘ca’ with a short ‘a’ doesn’t sound as nice.

Cariad-This also seems a bit tricky. I’m not sure how to say it.

Cariadwen-Is this. the same as [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f]? I really like that. And that spelling seems easier. Anything w/ a ‘win’ at the end ropes me in. I think there’s something pixie-ish about it.

[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]-This is nice. Kind of fancy & serious, but sweet.

[name_f]Cicely[/name_f]-Aw, I like this. It’s very sing-songy. In a good way. I think that [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is a more well known spelling, but the name is unique enough that it probably doesn’t matter.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f]-Beautiful. Smart, sweet, simple & full of old fashioned charm.

[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]-This is cute, but seems nick-namey. I like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cleo[/name_f].

Cleodora-Ooh, I’ve never heard this, but it’s neat. Like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], but more unique.

[name_f]Corliss[/name_f]-I’m not a fan of this. [name_m]Just[/name_m] reminds me of something w/out a core.

[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]-This is fine. It’s a good solid name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a bit bland.

[name_u]Calen[/name_u]-Not sure about this one. It seems like it’s too feminine for a boy but too masculine for a girl.

[name_m]Calloway[/name_m]-I like the sound of it. Seems better as a mn for some reason.

[name_m]Calvin[/name_m]-I like this one. Very charming & a little quirky. And the nn [name_u]Cal[/name_u] is super cool.

[name_m]Caradoc[/name_m]-Not a fan of this one. Sounds like a scientific term.

[name_m]Casimir[/name_m]-This is different & kind of neat. And the nn [name_m]Cas[/name_m] is adorable.

[name_m]Casper[/name_m]-I like this more. Kind of artsy yet strong.

[name_m]Cedric[/name_m]-This is okay. Not my favorite, but a good solid name that’s unique yet recognizable.

[name_u]Clancy[/name_u]-I don’t love this one . Not sure why.

[name_m]Clarence[/name_m]-I like nerdy names, but this one may be too nerdy.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

@myosotis - I like [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_f]Clio[/name_f], and [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f] (and [name_m]Cedric[/name_m] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] too, obviously!). By the way, can’t remember if I’ve said this before but I just love your signature!

@michellem - Thank you so much for such a detailed response! I like [name_m]Callum[/name_m] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] Caliadne, I pronounce like callie-[name_m]AD[/name_m]-nay but I do like cuh-lie-[name_m]AD[/name_m]-nee too.

Cariad is simply carrie-ad and Cariadwen the same, with -wen at the end. Slightly different to [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f], which I love too.
