Chelsea, Chelsey, or Kianna?

Which one (spelling) do you like the best and why? Also, any possible nicknames for that name?

Sometimes we want to go with the more normal and classic spelling ([name_u]Chelsea[/name_u]), but jist really dislike the “sea”, which ALWAYS makes us feel like it should be pronounced Chel-See-[name_m]Ah[/name_m] instead of Chel-See. But sometimes we worry that [name_f]Chelsey[/name_f] is a little bit weird and people might not get it right or even spell it wrong. As for [name_f]Kianna[/name_f], we really like the sounding, the meaning, and the nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f].
Also, we are afraid that people might associate [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] with the football team, which will be awful to us and our little girl.

I prefer [name_f]Kianna[/name_f]. [name_f]Kianna[/name_f] is such a beautiful name: Quite modern, but flowing, gorgeous, and with some unexpected sounds. I also much, much prefer [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u]. The way I see it, if the word “sea” as in the ocean is spelled that way, it’s natural to pronounce the name that way. If you’re still concerned, I prefer [name_f]Chellsie[/name_f] to [name_f]Chelsey[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Kianna[/name_f]. I personally prefer the [name_f]Kiana[/name_f] spelling, but as someone whose parents gave her the extra consonant in her name, I think [name_f]Kianna[/name_f] is lovely too. It’s more distinctive to me than [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u]/[name_f]Chelsey[/name_f]. [name_f]Kianna[/name_f] is intriguing and beautiful!

I like [name_f]Kianna[/name_f] best. [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] is the classic spelling and [name_f]Chelsey[/name_f] just looks tacky to me. Everyone knows how to say [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] cuz it was so popular in the 90s.

I like [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u]. It’s how the name is meant to be spelled, and sea is pronounced “see”, so it’s pronounced right in the name.

I don’t think anyone will think of a football team when they hear the name. I have a friend [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] and it’s literally never crossed my mind.

I think if you go with [name_f]Chelsey[/name_f], people will spell it wrong her whole life.

[name_f]Kianna[/name_f] is very different. Not really my style. Looks made up. I like [name_f]Annie[/name_f], but I wouldn’t use [name_f]Kianna[/name_f] to get there.
