Lately I have been loving the name [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] with nn [name_f]Cheri[/name_f]. Is it too dated and old ladyish? What are your thoughts on the name? What other names have the same vibe/feel as [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f]? Let me know what you think!
I’m sorry I do think [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] is very dated. Some fresher choices would be [name_f]Charlize[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].
I feel its pretty dated sorry
I love [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f]! I like that it’s not popular. [name_f]Cheri[/name_f] is a great nickname. I knew a [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] that got the nn [name_f]Cher[/name_f]-bear sometimes which is super cute!
I love both [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] and nn [name_f]Cheri[/name_f]… but that’s me and I never care about dated issue.
It’s very dated to me, I know a lot of middle-aged mums called [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] and nobody else. [name_f]Cherise[/name_f] or [name_f]Cherie[/name_f] are better options.
I know loads of [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f]'s around my age (36) so dated to me but not old ladyish. It seems pretty 80’s to me. Maybe it’s long enough.
It’s just not feminine to me. [name_f]Cheri[/name_f] is adorable though. [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] is just too similar to my name [name_f]Beryl[/name_f] and I always hated that it wasn’t girly sounding. I love the suggestion of [name_f]Cherise[/name_f]!
Though it might be slightly dated I absolutely still think it’s usable. I think it’s mostly seen as a “mom name” rather than a “Grandma name” but I don’t think that makes in unusable. I know at least one younger [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f].
I think its very '80s, I know Cheryls in their 30s and 40s. I would never use it these days.
I think [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] has a lovely sound. I don’t care about names being dated so I think it is very usable. It would be quite refreshing to hear it on a child.
I’d say use the name that you love. There is no guarantee people would like your child’s name, no matter if it is [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f] or Sophonisba. Why would you want to please everybody with your name choice? [name_m]Just[/name_m] pick what you love. [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] reminds me of the 80s in the best way possible, I quite like it.
Yes, it’s very dated.
I love [name_f]Cheri[/name_f], but [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] doesnt have a nice sound to my ears.
Probably dated, but I don’t think that’s enough reason to not use it. If you love it, use it. [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] is quite lovely
Its very dasted
The only [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] I’ve ever met is at least 60. That being said, I do kind of like the way it sounds. It’s usable in my opinion.
I am extremely fond of the name [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f]. Not only does it sound bright, lovely and happy to me, but every single [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] I’ve ever known has been an amazing person.
I feel like I need to put in my two cents since my name is [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f]. I used to hate my name because as a a 90s baby [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] was already outdated, but on the plus side I never shared my name with anyone! I like the nicknames [name_f]Cherie[/name_f] and [name_f]Cher[/name_f] and even though [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] may be a bit dated I wouldn’t let that deter you.
This is my [name_f]Nanna[/name_f]'s name and I would love to use it as a middle name, I find it does work well with several of my favourite names
